I know everyone probably does it their own way, but do you guys only list albums that you listen to in full, or are you listing everything you give a spin at all?

If you put on a record and flip through the tracks and within 10 minutes decide it's not for you, do you still list it?

 

I list it if I've listened to it in full, and have had a little bit of time to digest it and form some thoughts about it.

 

I'm waiting for At the Drive-In, AFI, Bad Religion, The Menzingers, Turbonegro, Vampire Weekend, Western Addiction

 

I only do full albums, if I only listen to the first few tracks and don't like it, I don't include

 

i only include albums i've given like at least five spins, can't underestimate how slowly some stuff can grow on you

 

Yeah, mine is an "albums I listened to" list, not so much an "albums I've dug into" list

 

Same - if I only spin it once I still list it. Don't have nearly enough time to really delve into 200+ albums

 

Last year there were maybe 10-15 albums that I didn't finish out of my list. I only included them because I listened to more than half of them and knew for sure I did not like them.

6 days into 2017... added 12 new releases, 34 old releases and 5 full concert videos.

This year my goal is to go back to artists that I've always liked but never really explored more than singles... the first handful of artists I plan on going through are Parliament, Molly Hatchet, Leon Russell and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young (and the various combinations/incarnations). Also trying to make it a point to watch live sets online... it's hard for me to make it to a lot of a shows so, I think this would be a cool alternative.

 

FUCK YEAH!

 

They're so good! Chicago has no shortage of great emo bands right now, but Avery's songwriting really stands out. I can't wait to see them later this month.

 

That's exactly how I feel. Avery's so wise beyond her years when it comes to songwriting and musicianship.

 

Ever listen to anything else by them? I liked Rust and it was my introduction to them - but I know a lot of people like their older stuff better and I'd probably agree
