Little bit of a down month for me but I still pulled an album a day so that's cool.

 

Great month. Hundred Waters, Mutemath, and Wolf Alice are among my favorite albums to come out this year.

 

Easily the most stressful month of the year - listened to a fuckton of stuff but couldn't really focus so i delayed verdicts on 36 albums lol

Highlights for me included: Passing A Starfighter, Quiet Company, END., Four Year Strong, Vattnet, Counterparts, Pheobe Bridgers, The Wonder Years, The Cool Kids, Mastodon, Cursed Earth, TWIABP, Ranges, Kublai Khan, Looming, Sløtface

Kind of disappointed by The Movielife, Prophets of Rage, Such Gold, 36 Crazyfists, Hot Water Music and Circa Survive. They all put out good stuff overall (minus Prophets of Rage... that was just pathetic) but they pale in comparison to previous material so much that I can't even get into them.

 

Currently listening to: Bodak Yellow....kind of cool!

I was so surprised by this album. Expected like an acoustic singer-songwritery thing with some flourishes like the first few Sean Lennon records; was not prepped for some of the songs to sound almost like Nine Inch Nails.

 

Did you ever listen to his band thenewno2? Their last album is really excellent, definitely worth you checking out
