Why is it hockey is the only place this happens? Where character and leadership matter more than poor-awful play. I think TB is secretly tanking, literally the only way this makes sense. Maybe the wings are gonna trade for yzerman after this season.

It's so out of character for him. He's normally one of the better GM's. What's his biggest flub? The Callahan deal? Like this is just absurd

 

Hypothetically, they could seriously be tanking. If stammer and tj are hurt like always plus the young guys don't go up a notch, they'll be worse than last year when you add girardi. They'll be in the bottom 7, it can happen easily. They're not nearly as good as people think anymore, they could have a team full of 70% young guys in a year or two.

 

Imagine trading a 2nd and a 4th to protect two young defenseman you think are gonna be good and then sending one to waivers or sitting them for girardi lol
