I was just looking at the Sharks roster and they have $18 million in cap space and they only need to re-sign 3 RFA's.

We have the space this year, but Pickles and Jones are up for new contracts next year. The Sharks arent budging on a 1 yr contract which is why Joe is looking elsewhere. At least that is my understanding, and Joe should be accepting of that, due to his age and recent injury.

 

Jones should only get $4 million while Vlasic should only get $6 million. They shouldn't be trying to overlay.

 

I'd maybe MAYBE be interested in picking up Ryan Murphy on a cheap deal since he's an RD and seeing if he can redeem himself but... man he fell so far
