well that's a noble thought but unfortunately when you are paying Bryz 5.6AAV to be your #1 and he actually outplayed Bob in 2011-2012, you well...don't do that.

Oh well...Carter Hart will be here in two or three years and then it's all over so whatever.

 

I don't doubt that Bob's agent didn't try to leverage his client, but I doubt it was that direct of an ultimatum, given the bargaining position. Shit went sideways, but that's free agency sometimes and it's not like Bryz didn't start off well. Mason also could have been a lot worse for Philly. I think it's more about Bob getting to a place he could take on a bigger role (CBJ or otherwise) and realize his potential. He's had some injuries too, so it hasn't been perfect. I don't really get why they are looking back on that trade now though.

 

Getting rid of Lethetra almost makes up for Reeves, still sucks to see him go though. Reeves was so much fun to watch.

 

Btw, how weird it is that the day after I talk about Reeves elsewhere on that site, he then leave the next day?

 

I just realized the leafs got that one defenseman that was super hyped up during the start of the year.

It feels like every year some team kicks into a really good defenseman that falls for some random reason.
