I don't see why Toronto wouldn't aggressively pursue that. Two late first rounders (if all go well...) is absolutely nothing for an established 1D. The probability that those picks turn out as elite players is under 50%.

The only way I'd want Shattenkirk on the Rangers is if its a 5 year deal at the most. Mostly likely would be a 6.5M cap hit. I think I would rather see NYR get a guy like Jason Demers or Mark Pysyk anyways.

 

Speaking of Demers, why is he listed at 6'1". Im 5'11" and was taller than him when I met him.

But more on topic, you dont want Demers, hes not good.

 

No way he would sign for 5 years 6.5 haha. If it's a 5 year term the cap hit will probably be somewhere around 8 annually. You're kidding yourself if you think you're getting him for 33 million

 

I was listening to one of the TSN guys the other day...I think it was Lawton. He mentioned he thinks Shattenkirks price is 6x$6
