My understanding

is that they are still over the cap. Hossa wont come off til the season starts unless they trade him

It's incredible to me that this team went from #1seed in the west to clearing house in a matter of 2 months. I understand wanting to move to younger d men but did it have to be hammer to go, he's still in his prime. And don't get me wrong I love saad, I'm glad he's back, and panarin had to go eventually but this seems like a weird deal. Swapping identical contracts and late round picks for what? A backup goalie? Someone a few months back posted that Q would blow a gasket if the Hawks traded Hjammer as I surmised and well wouldn't you know this is exactly what happened.


Also, Coyotes are my new team in the West. Raanta, Hjammer, hope they can really turn it around.
