Ultimately, I hope the Devils can package Henrique and maybe some picks/prospects for a top 4 LHD. Not sure how realistic that is. If they can't do that, package him for Galchenyuk. Then throw money at Shattenkirk.

Do you guys actually sit there and watch the whole draft? I usually can't make it through.

 

When I watch it I usually tune in and out, last year was heavy on the stalling and that makes it boring af after the first 10 picks.

tomorrow I'll have it on while doing stuff around the house. I honestly don't know anything about the players past the top 20 or 30 so. But sometimes trades happen.

 

Suzuki or Brannstrom, please.

Oh I didn't even know they televise round 2,3 and so on.

I'm not too familiar with the guys in the draft this year except Nolan Patrick who is a Winnipeg boy.

I just think they take so damn long for the first round and it sucks that the jets are picking late haha. I'll have to tune in for a bit when they're picking and then do my research on whoever they take.

 

Yea, it's gonna take forever to get to the 20s. They make it feel pretty bad, endless commercials and hardly any commentary.

 

Not sure how I missed this thread! I'll be watching the first round for sure tonight and probably have tomorrow's stuff on as well.

It's gaining traction. I don't think they are but I am confused/concerned to see it mentioned a couple times.

 

I prefer Patrick, but all the smoke points to us leaning Hischier. I will be happy with either.

I don't really think I believe the Makar stuff. I don't know much about him but I do know hes coming out of a weird league that almost never has players go this high. I like Heiskanen better as a DMan I think.

 

The reason people love makar so much is he's a monster skater and athlete but skill-wise he's not as good as miro, his upside is just super high if he ends up developing. I had him as a major sleeper in the teens earlier this year and he's moved up to top 10 so, it's kinda crazy but I totally get it. Devils aren't taking him though.

 

Ok, they're definitely taking him now.

 

I'd be much happier if that didn't mean one guy would fall to the friggin stars

 

I like both of the top two which is unfortunate because Philly is guaranteed one of them. It'd be so much easier if there was a Matthews/McDavid in this draft.

 

It's a really weird draft, wouldn't be surprised if a great player comes from the bottom half of the first round.

 

The brother of someone I work with is in the draft this year. He's like 10th in the North American goalies.

 

I think the avs are taking Martin Necas

 

Would love Thomas/Peterssen/Suzuki, although the latter two will probably gone

I can see Boston taking Hague, which, fine, but I'm really hoping they stay away from Rasmussen

 

I mostly put the draft on as background noise for when I play games but I'm not very knowledge on prospects.
