I don't know how you look at that play and with a straight face tell me that that's goalie interference.

I’ve looked at that play like 12+ times and I don’t see how they could possibly say it was goalie interference

It’s the last second of the game, of course there’s going to be poking and scrambling. You don’t want to let up a goal, KEEP THE FUCKING PUCK OUT OF THE NET

 

I’m calling that an inside job. The league needed these playoff races to live on a few more days, and they found a way.

That's 1000% what happened. They could've been upfront about it but someone told Toronto they had to call it in Florida's favor to keep them alive a while longer.

 

The simple response is of course, "Yeah and what else happened that made it goalie interference?"

 

That was the most bullshit call I've ever seen in a hockey game, Preds got robbed. I'm livid and will be for awhile about that one

 

On one hand, yes, Arvidsson did knock the puck loose but that's.......kind of what he's supposed to do. The ref never killed the play or lost sight of the puck.

Jamie Benn with the hatty last night and back-up back-up Mike McKenna with seventeen saves (that's all of the shots he faced, y'all) in his first NHL appearance in 3 years. It feels good to see the Stars still rally for the win despite being out of the playoffs.

Meanwhile, I'm just impatiently waiting to see who the friggity frack the Leafs are gonna play in the 1st round.

ETA apparently this is Benn's first hat trick since he won the Art Ross in 14-15?! Dang it doesn't seem that long ago, but I suppose if Known Stars Stats Man Josh Bogorad tweets it, it must be true.

Hakstol to the god damn wood chipper. Keeping Jori Lehtera in over Scott Laughton was the first mistake yesterday and then you follow it up by countering NYIs top line with your shitty fourth line RIGHT AFTER you tied it up 4-4 and allow Mat Barzal to absolutely dust that piece of shit Lehtera for the go ahead goal.

I fucking hate that man (Hakstol AND Lehtera).

Just miss the playoffs and get rid of the bums

I get why they did the trade. Schenn has been a nice piece for STL this year but streaky (as he always was in Philly). They took on the bum contract for the first rounders which actually might be Top 15 this year provided the Blues miss the playoffs and the guy they got with the pick last year (Morgan Frost) has been one of the better players in the entire CHL but god damn is it brutal watching bums like Lehtera, AMac, Gudas, and Filppula.

Hextall knows this team isn't competing for a few years so get the pick now and deal with the shitty contract so that when you are ready, you have the extra young piece to move forward with

I think this team looks to move Simmonds and/or Voracek in the offseason which honestly, is probably smart. Simmonds more likely to move since Nolan Patrick is 100% ready to take his role.
