Leafs looked good tonight. I never did see why Kapanen wasn't in the lineup - I guess Babs was just trying to get Johnsson back in. (And it paid off!) I hope they're both regulars next season, and Dermott as well.

A Nashville win tonight should wrap up the East.

 

Philly has the Isles, Canes, and Rangers
Devs have Rags, Leafs, and Caps

One of those is looking better than the other. lol

 

Leafs and Caps have nothing to play for though, and the Devils always play better against better teams

oh well, I am just happy to (most likely) be back in the playoffs. I think we can hang with anyone. Would LOVE to play Pittsburgh round 1 somehow.

I'm hoping the Flyers make it out of the first round. I'll be out of the country, and miss everything. I'd love to get to go to a playoff game.

I would not want to match-up with Pittsburgh that early. Crosby scares the shit out of me lol.

we went 3-0-1 against them this year with key players missing in most of those games. Our speed matches up well with them. They aren't a fast team overall.

 

Ok but post season Crosby scares me lol.

 

oh of course, and they are the 2x defending champs

but I think we match up better with them than we do with say, Washington or Tampa

 

Hockey is the biggest sport where what happened in the regular season means nothing. That's part of what makes the Stanley Cup Playoffs so special. All you need to do is make it in to stand a chance.

Maybe the Sabres can make it in one of these years

 

Just ask the Blackhawks how meaningful the regular season is

 

Or when the LA kings won the cup as an 8th seed team. That was sick.

 

Can I just reiterate how much this new playoff format fucking stinks

 

We're all so blessed that we have a playoffs this year with no fucking Blackhawks

 

They absolutely destroyed the "best" teams in the Western Conference too

 

No sympathy for them lol.
