That is..... a thing that happened

 

I knew a guy who was living in Vancouver when the riots happened. He saw that it was happening on TV and figured that he'd never get a chance to be a part of a riot again which is a totally acceptable reason to join in on a stupid sports riot. Ironically, he was a Bruins fan.

 

Calgary radio stations would play "Find Me In Dome" during the 04 playoff run too.... The principal of my elementary school's son was a late-round San Jose Sharks draft pick so he would do the morning announcements in character as 'Miss Sharky' during the playoffs even though the school backed the Flames and "Find Me in the Dome" was played in the morning after announcements all the time.

Being a Calgary Flames fan used to be kind of exciting, even if we are an embarrassment.

 

Turns out that is actually their hype song for this year. I actually didn't know that one existed until I went looking for the first one they did. I think it was from the first year they made the playoffs with Ovi. I guess they've done a few.

 

All the more reason to love darkest hour.

I saw them a few years back with Veil of Maya opening. The place EMPTIED after VoM and Darkest Hour played to maybe 30 people. It was such a bummer, but a really awesome experience. The singer saw me singing along to a song and pulled me on stage to sing with him. Shit like that keeps me going.

 

Damnnn, where was this? Obviously wasn't a home show.

 

I think it was like Verona, NJ or something. It was way down south.

 

Yeah, Darkest Hour are huge Caps fans. Fans didn't like the Rock The Red goal song, though so they switched back to Iron Maiden.
