Man, I'm rooting hard against Jokerit today.

 

Karlsson is gonna be 29 next season, he'd never stay anyway. He's going to the bolts.

 

He may want to stay because of the stability of Ottawa as a home considering the tragedy he has recently experienced. Or maybe he needs a new start in a new city. Who knows?

 

The Stars have to win like 6-7 of their last 8 to get back in the playoffs. I don't want to admit it yet, but I think this season is toast. So sad.

On a happier note, my long lost son Auston returns tonight, God bless, I'm honestly just so excited to see him play again. There's been a lot of discourse about "we're fine without him" or "they're coddling him" or "they should leave him out until playoffs"... I honestly don't even get into all that, I'm just excited that he's back, I miss seeing him play.

What I found most wild about this play was the Canes' announcers actually having some slight knowledge about what makes Ward's skates different, and why that could make this play happen.
