Welp, Martin Hanzal is out for the season. He's been in and out of the lineup with injury all year for us, and now he's having season-ending spinal fusion surgery with a recovery time of 6-7 months. Theoretically could be back for next season, but it all depends on how he recovers.

Jim Nill said the injury happened in November, and Hanzal's been taking injections for the pain - but now the pain is too much and surgery is the only option.

I feel bad for the guy, he's only played 38 games for us this season. Hoping the best for him.

 

Zacha and Zajac both out tomorrow, 2 of our top 3 centers

gonna be a bloodbath in Nashville

 

Now they're saying with Hanzal out, the pressure is really on Faksa to be a great 2C. I 100% believe in my boy, he's been great for us all year.

Also I just looked at the Stars CapFriendly and holy cow we got RFAs coming out our ears this summer. Gotta re-sign Janny and Shore for decent money, plus I really like Elie and Smith too. People are saying Roussel will go this summer so they can do Seguin's next contract next summer.

Also also, I'm deathly afraid we'll let Kari go this summer. I haven't seen/heard anything, but I FEAR. :(

I looked at the road trip schedule the Devils have coming up and man, it's brutal.

Flyers game is the first time I've ever seen them call play from Toronto to review a goal. Good to see they cared enough to call it good.
