Peters can’t develop anyone and Francis gets the boot. Great.

 

Francis operated under an owner that wouldn’t spend any money and was able to rebuild our prospect pool into something respectable. Can’t believe we let him go.

I’m not worried about him moving the team because of his ties to NC but I still don’t like this move. Oh well.

Francis would be a pretty good option, he's at least done solid as a builder for the canes

 

I just don’t understand wanting to start over but keeping Peters. If they’re going to clear house then get rid of everyone. I guess they still can at the end of the season. I’m sure the new GM will want his guy behind the bench.

Devils typically struggle with "heavy" teams like Winnipeg and Washington. We shall see. Hopefully we can impose some of our speed.

 

My theory is that they're waiting to see if Trotz or Quenneville get fired.
