I think the Jets might have the most well rounded roster in the league tbh

 

Hartman is starting as well for the Preds (although that will have less magnitude than Stastny). This should be a fun game tonight.

I've watched Maroon a lot as a Flames fan and have read lots of Oilers fan blogs so I know that they're absolutely crushed that they couldn't keep him because of the Lucic albatross. His numbers are inflated because of McDavid for sure, but I think he will be a solid 3rd line presence for the Devils. He's the type of player that the Golden Knights are basically consisted of. Your forward group is very enviable.

 

If the Flames fall, I need the Jets to win it all for Canada. I like the team that the Leafs have, but we can't let the fanbase get even bigger heads. Blake Wheeler needs a Stanley Cup.

I would be cool with Nashville winning though. PK Subban and Pekka Rinne also need a Stanley Cup.

 

I saw someone posted on Twitter that his even strength numbers with McDavid were only slightly better than without him

I am just pumped overall about the overhaul of the forwards in such a short time. I was looking back at the lineups from the end of 2016 and WOOF. Some of the forwards in the lineup included:

Steve Gionta
Jacob Josefson
Jordin Tootoo
Tyler Kennedy
Sergei Kalinin
Bobby Farnham

ALL at the SAME TIME

 

Yiiiikes. These names are all great candidates for a game of "Name Some Obscure NHL Guys" and not much more.

 

I couldn't believe how long Josefson stuck there and that he's still in the NHL.

 

I always liked Jake tbh. He does everything NHL coaches love except for the life of him he cannot score. Plus, he is made of glass
