Lol. That's why I'm not stoked on this trade. Earlier I said "Oh. Ryan Hartman. Yay." That was sarcasm.

 

David Poile deserves a pass on this one given his history. And really, if Nashville wins the cup this year nobody will care what they gave up for him. I'm not defending the trade, and the price was too high, but you mortgage the future sometimes to try and win it all.

So far today's highlight has been being able to watch TSN Tradecentre on my tv instead of my laptop.

 

The thing for me on the Hartman trade is, you gave up way too much and for what? Depth? It's a good idea to load up for the stretch run because injuries will happen but this is a perfectly healthy team right now and Hartman isn't knocking anybody out the lineup, and you'll be loading up through your own organization anyways. Freddy Gaudreau will inevitably get the call up soon. Not to mention you just signed Mike Fisher for $215k and have Eeli Tolvanen coming over from Jokerit soon. I don't get it. I'll give Poile a pass on this one, because he deserves a pass, but I don't get it.

Ryan Hartman won't be the difference between the Preds and a cup.
