Vegas is probably taking Raffl. Cheaper contract and can probably get Vegas a couple picks in a trade somewhere down the line. I was surprised they protected Laughton since I don't think Hakstol is a fan & he has to pass through waivers if he doesn't make the team next year. At least they weren't stupid and protected Bellemare like I feared they would.

Vegas has a solid choice of players, but I haven't seen any super solid centers for them. Am I missing any?

 

Shipachyov might be good, and they could always sign UFAs but not really no

I love how Carolina has absolutely nothing to offer up, whereas an expansion as early as this time next year would hurt us.

 

Sounds like Laughton/Vecchione will be playing for that last spot.

 

pretty much. Carolina was basically all depth players when I was picking. Canucks, Avs, Sabres, Maple Leafs all were basically depth players also.

 

I would love to see Stempniak stay in one place for more than just one year

Yeah not really. Panarin and our other 1st/2nd year guys are exempt. They could have protected Rasmussen but Vegas probably won't take him and the word is both sides want to make a contract work after Vegas. Also we need Kruger gone for cap reasons unfortunately.

 

Yeah. I've been seeing a lot of people go crazy but it's better to wait until the draft to get crazy.

 

Curious to see who the Flyers lose. Maybe MDZ or Read? Masin might not be a bad backup to shoot for.
