I’m afraid to search Twitter. Glad someone finally made some sort of statement though. Is he the first African-American in the NHL (or player for that matter) to do something?

 

I believe so. I checked the replies to some of the tweets I saw from news outlets and yeah it's exactly what you would expect

Not surprising, especially where he plays. All these players probably do but don't talk publicly about it. It's brutal.

 

Notice the puck here. That was the game tying goal with less than a second left. No penalty called here. Also, Darling was being interfered with and they missed that as well.
