Forslund said he thinks Necas will make the roster. How has he looked in your opinion? Any chance he and Kuokkanen both make it?

 

I think there’s a few Canes fans on hfboards that believe there’s a shot he comes to Carolina, which provided many good laughs.

 

Jesper Bratt is almost certainly going to make the Devils

apparently its been like 20 years since a 6th round or later pick made a team as a 19 year old

 

I thought he looked okay in Washington. He's crazy fast but kept losing the puck when he had to beat a defender. I haven't gotten to watch a lot of the preseason though. Think it's best for him to go back to Europe for a year. Roster is too crowded now and I don't think he's ready to play in a top-six role.

Kuokkanen SHOULD make the team but they need to make room for him. They can easily waive Nordstrom or McGinn to that, though. I'm not sure if they will, but they should pass through without much I of a problem. He's also gotten a lot of opportunities to produce with all of the power play time, so I'm not sure if it'll continue once real games start.

 

When a player is sent back to Europe for development how much communication does he have with his pro club during the season? Are there coaches and/or trainers monitoring him and visiting with him throughout the season? Just curious how that works since those teams aren't direct affiliates like AHL teams.

 

How has Gauthier looked? He was someone I really wanted that draft
