How bout that bottom six?

 

All the Leaf fans who seriously think Marleau is gonna bump Hyman off the top line have a really long year ahead of them.

 

I think that might actually happen just because of how much Babcock loves Marleau but then again he also really loves Hyman.

 

At least it's Marleau and not girardi, first hockey probs

 

I thought he was going to the rangers, I guess Carolina is picking outside of the top 10 again for sure

I feel for Tampa fans after that girardi signing. Dude is not cutout for today's nhl.

 

Good news is, they signed koekkek to a one way deal so they can't waive him back to Syracuse now. Pressure is on cooper.

 

They're still probably the most competitive for another cup. Losing a bunch of nobody's (relatively speaking) while keeping a pp1 unit of Crosby, Malkin, Kessel, Letang, and hornqvist...ya, threepeat coming.

Can't imagine it's anything more than a one year bridge for the couple of kids who would benefit from another year in the AHL (Sanheim/Myers) since it's all but written that Morin/Hagg are making the team out of camp.

 

I'm cool with Kruger as the 3C. I'd imagine we'd go something like...

Skinner - Rask - Lindholm
Aho - Staal - Williams
Teuvo - Kruger - Stempniak
Nordstrom - Ryan - McGinn

Considering we'd still barely be over the cap floor that's a good lineup. If Darling plays well I feel good about the playoffs.

 

Even if they all sign at decent hits, there's no way we don't spend 20M+ on RFAs next summer.

These are on the optimistic side. I could easily see them all wanting, and deserving st least .5 more each.

 

They can. They just have to pay him the same salary in the AHL. He has to pass through waivers to go to Syracuse, though.

 

I know this, there is like extremelyyyy low chance they put him through waivers though. The fans would lose their minds, if they didn't like him they should've just literally waived him and stopped pretending they love him. If they do things like this again, the boos will get louder and louder for the firing to begin.
