I hope my team's top players continue to stay focused and out of trouble. Always a bummer to get excited about somebody, and then realize they're a shitty person who doesn't deserve to be playing a professional game on your team.

 

Yeah, it'd be a shame if someone like Dede Westbrook ended up on a Doug Marrone coached team.

Man Blackmon really wasted his talent. I remember when he was finally able to play for that short time I picked him up in fantasy and he tore it up.

so they let Beane go to Buffalo like 2 months ago and then NOW fire Gettleman? makes sense

 

I'm guessing it has something to do with Olsen and Davis requesting new contracts. Based on Gettleman's history it wouldn't surprise me if he was planning on letting Davis walk after this season, while also making Olsen play out his contract without any kind of extension or pay bump. Richardson is a crazy old man though so who knows what's going on.

 

Well, I'm in favor of it but I don't understand doing it now instead of in January.

Richardson wasn't going to let the same thing happen with Olsen and Davis.

 

I realize that Olsen and Davis are both still good players but they are 32 and 34 years old. Are they really going to give them "long term" deals?

 

I hope that's not the case. It'd really suck to be fired for making the right call.

 

I'm not saying I agree with the move. I'm on Gettleman's side on both of those cases. But it'd be a very typical Richardson move to do something like that. His style is completely different than Gettleman's.
