hahaha, no idea why they are even floating this. If Im his agent, Im informing washington that he will sign that tag the second they offer it, fucking their cap space entirely (they'd actually have to cut people to even sign draft picks if he signs the tender).

Why would he agree at any level to hurt the team he goes to in free agency?

Is it collusion if everyone agrees not to trade for him?

This actually makes me believe we could see Cousins in Cleveland. An undercounted part of the story is that McClouughan wanted to sign Kirk early when he was cheap. And the part that pissed Kirk off about WAS was they didnt buy until him fully until now...he'd rather have signed a cheaper deal earlier because they saw him as their guy.

It was collusion when 30 owners penalized 2 teams for following "unspoken" rules during the uncapped year, but the NFLPA did nothing about it in the end.

Also, what team would trade for that tag contract? Guaranteed $34mil/yr as a starting point for a long-term deal, with either the inability to tag him ever again (if the rule is that being tagged can only happen to a PLAYER 3 times), or the tag for 2019 being ~$50mil.

Minimum 5yr deal you'd have to offer him would be 5yr/$150mil/$100+mil guaranteed. Whereas without the tag you can probably do 5/135/80

Just found out there’s a dog bowl in addition to the puppy bowl this year. Life is great

    Nope. Supporter

If any team offers to trade for Cousins if they tag him, they should be contracted immediately

I wouldn't mind it. Hopefully, he'd feel better about Haley than Big Ben. I just saw a special about him with his family yesterday, which makes me think he wouldn't mind Cleveland being within a 5 hour drive of them up in Michigan. He seems like the type who would want to be the one person that brought the Browns out of sadness too. We'll see though.

    The rivalry is back on

Sea 30/1, LAC 40/1, and TEN 50/1 seem like the best values at first glance. And Detroit is very low.

Hou 22/1 and SF 25/1 both seem very aggressive when Russell Wilson has worse odds than either of those “next big thing” QBs

I want to see the Jags do equally well next season. Tougher schedule but we will have ARob back. Gonna depend heavily on Bortles building on the improvement from this year.

I don’t know, maybe play Malcolm Butler. I don’t care what he did, he’s better than Rowe and Jordan. Congratulations, Eagles fans and everyone else. It’s a great feeling.

Also Jags odds below Houston lol. More overprojecting Watson.

Do people realize the Texans were still losing even when he was balling out? He carried them over Tennessee, Cleveland, and Cincy. Congratulations. Nothing about that says they have a better chance at the Bowl than Jax

SF 25/1 is a lot more believable, Jimmy G beat some good teams and his supporting cast is growing at the same quick rate

Also, while I don’t blame Vegas for trusting NFC teams over AFC teams... there is a lot less competition between existing strong teams in the AFC, by comparison haha. I take Jax at 27/1 over any of the 20/1 teams.

Tell me what I missed Supporter

Yeah we’re definitely being overprojected as a team. I don’t even think it’s Watson being overprojected, I think Watt and the front 7 is being way more overprojected. People think the defense is automatically good again once everyone’s healthy. It ain’t happening

But when you have JJ Watt and your QB beat Alabama the projections are destined to be bad bets
