I actually will give Shurmur a chance. Half of his time in Cleveland was the start of the Weeden Error. He's done pretty well since leaving Cleveland and he usually gets good vibes from the players. If healthy, that offense could do well for him.

 

How do people in Boston tolerate Mike Felger ? He's such a douchebag.

I'm glad to hear that, I get NBC Sports Boston and I'm watching it and Felger is doing nothing but degrading the Eagles by saying Pederson is going to puke on the sideline because he close a game. I don't know, it's stupid.

 

Yeah my wife is from New Hampshire and this is a rough idea on how she's always seen the Boston media:

-Celtics coverage is relatively fair and accurate
-Patriots are overhyped and media is overconfident about them at all times
-Red Sox are trashed by the media no matter how well they do, they can win the division and make smart moves and the media will utterly destroy them for no reason because anything short of winning the World Series is a disaster

I’d say that’s pretty accurate. There are a handful of people I like that tend to offer well-thought out, less incendiary takes. It’s mostly Felger and WEEI guys that people don’t like.

Last season I ended up watching a lot of Red Sox games (and I'd say about double the number of games I actually watched considering how often they went to extra innings hahaha) and I'd watch like, Doug Fister start to blow a game and allow 3+ runs, and David Price comes in relief and pitches perfect inning after perfect inning without any run support, and the media coverage afterwards is like "WHY PRICE HAS BEEN A DISAPPOINTMENT AND RUINED THE GAME"

 

God I hate the Red Sox.

 

And, while on the subject of David Price, god I hate the fucking Rays.

You’re 100% right on the Red Sox, the people saying they don’t want them to sign JD Martinez are the same people who will be complaining that they have no power next year.

 

Boston media to the Bruins is amazingly bad.

Every time they trade someone or someone leaves it's always because that person is a loner or isn't part of the culture.

 

The Bruins are my buddies. Fuck every other team in Boston though.

 

Haley will be a good hire for the Browns.

 

....have you experienced Boston sports fans? Outside of this forum, that classifies them pretty well. I'd say that even if the fans can't stand the media, the media is a pretty solid representation of the Boston fanbase as a whole

 

I haven’t been watching any breakdowns of the game so I don’t know if this has been hammered to death but that Stephon Gilmore play to clinch the game was unreal. It doesn’t get much better than that.
