Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I really wish Wentz was healthy though, this Super Bowl would've been a hell of a lot more fun with a healthy Wentz going up against the Pats dynasty

imagine making the Super Bowl and regardless if you win or lose, your starting MVP caliber QB comes back next season?

Nick Foles has won more playoff games this year than the Cowboys have in 22 years.

    Lol. That is something.

  6. Pederson has been awesome. I know I’m stating the obvious. He’s made the Eagles one of the more enjoyable teams to watch. And Wentz was the most entertaining QB this season. If they had him I’d 100% pick the Eagles. Regardless the SB should be a fun game. The greatest ever v a super confident, talented, complete team.

I was rooting HARD early this season for Pats vs. Eagles. It’s sad Wentz isn’t there but I mean, your young team made the Super Bowl with a backup QB. They’re gonna be scary for years to come.

I would complain about the Jags playoff road always ending with New England, but the Bills have a history of going to the playoffs, losing to the Jags, and then dying. So it could be worse. Though I 100 percent think we miss the playoffs next year.

Pederson has proved everyone wrong and I'm really happy to see that. This is a fun team when their fans are quieter hahaha

    I will say this:

if the Patriots winning this Super Bowl means Tom and Bill are gone forever, then go Pats

  12. I hope people don’t expect Wentz to be as dominant as he was this season. Don’t me wrong, I’m a big fan and I think he’ll have a great career. But it is so hard to replicate that level of play. Cam won MVP while taking us to the SB and then followed it up with his two worst seasons of his career.

What would they even do? No coaches, no players.

I don’t know why he can’t. As long as Doug Pederson is there calling the plays, I’m confident that Wentz can replicate what he’s done.

Is he a system QB like many seem to think? Maybe, quite possibly but this is why the Eagles gave up the bounty to get him.

System or not, it works then isn’t that the goal?

Haha, I can’t see Brady walking. He would instantly become the “villain” for influencing Kraft to trade Jimmy G and then leaving months later. People around here LOVED Jimmy G and were hoping this year would end with a Super Bowl and clean handoff to Jimmy G.

As for Bill leaving, well if I were him I’d be bullshit I have to go find Brady’s replacement again.

  16. Unrelated but more important than SB talk, Julius Peppers is negotiating a deal to return to Carolina for two more seasons.

I'm a Pats fan, but I like the Jags a lot and would say they're probably my second favorite team overall. I can't believe how well Bortles played yesterday, and his play the last two months gives me a lot of optimism for him having a viable NFL future. That said, I still hope y'all make a serious run at Cousins. Sign him, retain a healthy Robinson, and go back to the 00s uniforms and it's maybe the coolest team in the league.

I don't like the Eagles at all as a franchise, but Alshon is one of my absolute favorite players in the league, so I was happy to see him have a huge game last night. Him and Gilmore will be a really interesting matchup in two weeks.

I’m just a little shocked the Eagles are here just like everybody else.

Typically you don’t lose your best offensive lineman, LB, RB (prior to Ajayi trade), special teamer, MVP franchise QB and even sniff the playoffs let alone get to the Super Bowl.

Can’t forget that Ron Darby was out for half the year, too.

Secondary should be even better next year with Sidney Jones being kept on ice this year. Just move Mills to SS and slot Jones into LCB and roll with him and Darby.

Regardless of the waxing they may or may not take in two weeks, hard not to be excited about this team for a long time.

  19. I agree having Pederson gives him a better chance of doing it every year. I just hate it when people put too high of expectations on a player and then rip him when not reaching that level, even if he’s still having a good season.

I think you want to do that with your franchise player if you want him to be in that elite QB tier. I think he can get there with Dougie P but it might be tough next year so I’ll enter next year with tempered expectations.

That Dr. Chao dude who got fired for medical malpractice by the Chargers or something said that Wentz should be ready to be a pocket QB by Week 1 next year but probably wouldn’t be back to his normal self until mid season so I’d be curious to see how that will be handled.

  21. Pats won't wax the eagles. They haven't blown out any of their super bowl opponents. It will be close.

  22. They should get Brady’s doc since BB booted him.

At least this Super Bowl isn't like the last Pats/Eagles... Running in Jacksonville.

Zach Ertz absolutely terrifies me in this game.

Ultimately, I think if Foles plays like he did last night, the Patriots will lose or it'll be something like a 45-42 barnburner. Good Foles is very good, and not a crazy dropoff from Wentz. His variance is crazy, though, so I'm not convinced that guy shows up.

  25. xkj1985x

    Yup.

I think my view on this is this:

The Eagles have probably the best defensive line in the league. They absolutely do when you consider the incredible depth they have and how they use that to their advantage.

They should be able to continually rush four and drop seven against Brady.

Brady is Brady and so he will absolutely get his regardless of the what the Eagles do but I also think the Eagles won’t make it easy for him.

If Doug can scheme up another game like yesterday and they execute (NEs defense is fine but not on the Vikings level) then this could be real close.
