When the Cavs won the championship I called my friend from Ohio, “how does it feel to be a bandwagon cavs fan” and he stared tearing up lol

  3. I lived in Vegas when the Panthers went 15-1. Anytime I wore a Panthers shirt I was called a bandwagon fan at least 5 times throughout the day.

I hated going to Charlotte for Panthers games when I was living in SC. They have really terrible and annoying fans.

The Cam hate in particular is unbearable. I moved here less than a year after he won MVP and you'd think they had been rooting for Blake Bortles.

  7. Cam is obviously our most valuable player but he is also extremely frustrating. He has a lot of games where he looks awful. I don’t get how anyone can deny that. I never want him to leave here but that doesn’t mean I can’t criticize him when he has a CJ Beathard game.

He just gets all the blame. People were shocked that Gettleman left, Shula wasn't a big enough problem for anyone to care about, the aging defense and poor talent on offense weren't a problem. It's like every win was a team effort but every loss was Cam.

  11. 1. Everyone was surprised Gettleman left because overall he was a good GM. He inherited a disaster and built a decent team while restructuring the cap. He obviously made some bad decisions but overall his time here was a success.

    2. Everyone hated Shula and 100% blamed him for the offense being bad. There was even a gofundme to have a plane fly a “fire Shula” banner over the stadium during a game but it got shutdown. Saying no one cared is crazy. Literally everyone wanted him out.

    3. Yeah, there are some aging defensive players. But that’s why we drafted Short, Star, Shaq, Butler, Bradberry, Worley, Hall. We had to sign guys like Mike Adams because we didn’t have the cap flexibility to go after younger players (thanks to Hurney and having to pay Cam).

    4. Poor talent on offense is where you won’t get any argument from me. Cam has to carry the team. But there are games where it wouldn’t matter if we had Moss in his prime out there. Cam has games where he completely misses reads, over throws every pass, indecisive in the pocket. There’s no denying we need better talent at the skills positions but that doesn’t excuse Cam from his poor mechanics and ability to read the game.

I think he's good with money but I can't look at this team and think it was built well at all.

True, but all I'm saying is hearing fans talk, they talk like Cam is the problem. Again, limited experience though considering I don't venture out beyond my jobs haha.

  13. I definitely get the argument against Gettleman. I hated to see him go like that but I understand why it happened. Bringing Hurney back was the part that was frustrating. But Hurney is walking into a good situation. We have cap flexibility and a solid core to build around. Hopefully he learned from his previous mistakes and can take us to the next level.

  14. The difference between Gettleman and Hurney was that’s Gettleman’s mistakes were fixable. We were able to recover from them and stay competitive. Hurney’s mistakes hindered the franchise for years.

the 3 teams that dominate my area are:

Raiders - Derek Carr played and Fresno state and just the crazy fan base here.

49ers - Bay Area transplants all move here because cheaper so it also makes sense.

Cowboys - screw that fanbase because they are everywhere here. It's so big that sports stores here have entire sections dedicated to them.

Top three here are Panthers, Bills, and, in my experience, Cowboys

  17. Charlotte has a lot of transplants from Ohio, Buffalo, Pittsburgh. There’s also a lot of Dallas/Washington fans because that’s who people rooted for before the Panthers became a team.

Vikings fans are the worst, aside from the Cowboys. But I’m also a Packers fan who did my undergrad in Minnesota, so that explains why I think so.

Now I live in Albuquerque, which is predominantly Cowboys fans and that bugs the shit out of me. We’re much closer to Denver (and Phoenix, for that matter).

I'm a California transplant in Seattle rooting for the Bengals. Between my 3 closest friends here (who are all also transplants), we have a Cards fan, a Vikes fan, and a Chargers fan. It's an odd bunch and a hate-filled life for the Arizona guy.
