    Nope. Supporter

More recently the Seahawks bandwagon has been the biggest imo

I’ve read that the Patriots are, weirdly enough

Vikings are favored right? I know in the past when i've had to prepare stuff like this i've just used the two favored teams as my templates for everything.

Honestly both @CarpetElf and @Fucking Dustin saying Giants fans are more common is crazy to me. I never meet Giants fans ever. I have one friend who is a Giants fan and we watched the first superbowl win together.

I literally have met way more Jets fans than Giants fans!!

I think that might be part of it honestly. Think about this: Half the Giants fans I know are Cowboys fans when they're in the playoffs, and vice versa. Genuine bandwagon-ism.

I've met 3-4 Jets fans, all were from Long Island/Staten Island and stayed committed.

What do you mean lol, the Eagles may not have recent SB wins but they have been to the playoffs a hell of a lot since the late 80s. They’re certainly enough of a winning franchise to develop popularity as a team.

Bruh you're just remembering Carlos but there were four Giants fans at that Carrabba's haha.

It’s like the Jets. Tradition has stuck with them since their dominance in the 70s.

I honestly think Jets / Dolphins is one of the strongest rivalries historically even if both teams are kinda meh right now. Marino’s legendary fake-spike game winning TD was in one of those games.

So are teams like the Saints, Colts, Giants, Vikings, Chiefs, Rams, Falcons... there's nothing about the Eagles that makes them stand out from that pack.

Yup. Rooting for the Pats hahaha.

The Saints definitely have not been to the playoffs that much. I think recency bias had clouded JUST how bad the pre-Brees Saints were

You do you, but I don't know why you would grow up outside of Philadelphia and choose to root for the Eagles over the Steelers/Cowboys/Pats/Packers/Broncos. I certainly don't think it happens in any big numbers

There's a lot of people in Pennsylvania, my dude. And people from Philly do occasionally leave Philly.
If I was born in Pennsylvania I'd 100 percent be a Philly fan. Same reason why I'm a Jags/Magic/Rays/Lightning fan: FUCK the man.

And they've still missed the playoffs quite a handful of times with Brees

Also, one could move there/to Pennsylvania or be from a surrounding area.
or be a North Dakota State fan.

Is this conversation not about people who never lived in the area of which their team grew up in? Because obviously there are a lot of people that moved away from Philly that still root for the Eagles. The same as with any other big market

Yeah the college thing should definitely be brought up

Heard from a lot of Panthers fans (or fans of college football in general) that they've got the Texans as their #2 team now cuz of Watson, and watched a LOT of Cowboys fans root for Manziel on the Browns

I'm sure whatever team gets Baker Mayfield will get a large bandwagon

I meant like, they move away and create smaller humans and those smaller humans grow to like the Eagles.

    Yeah, fuck Oklahoma.

I'm so excited for potentially moving to Austin and being in a city that hates Oklahoma as much as I do lol.

And that's the same as with any other team.

I don't think there is a big population of people who root for the Eagles and have no connection to the city or area itself. Maybe I'm wrong. But I would be surprised.
