Watched the playoff game again and that Brown TD is a top 10 catch I’ve ever seen. The concentration is so fucking ridiculous. I had to break that catch down on film because, even after seeing it 7 times I still couldn’t comprehend how Brown possibly came away with the ball in that scenario.

Motherfucker is shoulder-to-shoulder with AJ Bouye when the ball gets there, handfighting with his left hand, and in one motion:

    -catches the ball one-handed

-pretends to use the left hand to help with the catch, but really he’s pinning Bouye’s arm to his chest to avoid a knockdown — clever way to get away with PI that I’ve never seen before

    -gets both feet barely inbounds,

-but also pivots in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION he was moving, right after the catch, just as Bouye flails his arm to knock the ball out.

And this is all on a deep 25 yard post, so Brown has to plan all this on the fly while adjusting to the ball in the air. I had to slow the video down during an already slowed down replay to process everything he did. And then I watched it in real time, seeing it all happen at the back edge of the end zone in 0.2 seconds against literal blanket coverage.... WHAT???????

He looked so casual too. Looked like he just did a simple dance turn. Didn’t even look like an effort to balance/grip the ball, it just fell into his arm and didn’t even budge. There is one person in this entire country that can make that play and it’s him.

    there is one way out

Munchak turned down Cardinals HC interview.

They'll probably promote from within for Haley's position.

Everyone in Pittsburgh will be happy to have Haley gone. No one could stand him. Now if they'd get rid of Tomlin, the yinzers would be even more ecstatic.

Its weird, because this is probably one of the best seasons we've had offensively, and yet how much of that is Haley vs Ben/Brown/Bell

Well I think you could argue that they put up 42 points in spite of his play-calling, not because of it. I don’t think he was a bad coach by any means, but I’m not that sad that he’s gone. Some sort of shakeup is needed.

  10. Haley extended Ben's career but the 4th and 1 failures are inexcusable. I have a feeling the Steelers probably ranked pretty low on 3rd and 4th and short. And their red zone efficiency has been poor for years.

  14. They should just let Ben run the offense until he retires

  15. apparently there was 23 million less viewers this year for the second round than last year's second round

no Packers, Cowboys, or Seahawks so no one really cares I guess haha

  16. Didn’t the Vikings just beat Drew Brees and the Saints? Twice?

Fun speculation from MN sports radio was if they went after Cousins. Rather than re-signing Keenum to a big deal, go and upgrade with someone with a track record. And Kirk going to a place with lots of weapons and a defense

That's definitely an interesting take. Curious how that whole situation was gonna shake with Keenum, Brad and Bridge, this just throws a wrench in it.

Arizona is kinda dragging their feet with the whole HC thing. My Cardinal-loving friend is starting to get nervous. Then again, I guess Arians was apparently the last coach to be hired in 2013 so maybe they just like to take their time.

I also think this was in part due to the fact that the general public believed that three out of the four teams were going to roll when in reality, only one did. From an aspect of matchups, I think NO-MIN was the only game that detached fans were looking interested in.

Although it's the playoffs so IDK.

darn shame too because I found so playoffs so refreshing. If only the afc could replicate the fun of the nfc.

I agree with this 100%. Nice to see different teams, and besides the Pats/Titans game, every game was pretty damn fun to watch.

Pretty stacked all around. $60mil in cap space, Diggs still on his rookie deal. Nobody under the age of like 29 due to be a free agent. Bridgewater theoretically having a tolled contract....they could always franchise Keenum as well.

Pretty rare for a team to suddenly be Super Bowl worthy AND be set up for the next 3-4 years like that
