It's weird that I feel every team is in some way a team of destiny this year

The Minnesota Vikings - Fronted by an undrafted free agent QB after injuries to their two first round QBs, bolstered by the #1 defense, the team who was always overshadowed by the Green Pay Packers, happen to be hosting the Super Bowl, and encountered a miraculous finish against a future Hall Of Famer when the odds were stacked against them with the first 4th quarter walkoff TD ever in the playoffs.

The Philadelphia Eagles - Fronted by an MVP QB who went down to injury in the fourth quarter of the season, giving the reins to a QB who had a 27-2 ratio in 2013 who could never replicate that success again, without the most important part of their offensive line. The best pressuring defense in the NFL and a first round WR in Nelson Agholor who was written off as a bust.

The New England Patriots - Obviously less of a "team of destiny" thing but those kind of talks tend to happen when every major media outlet begins to report on the friction between the 3 cogs of the team. Every coordinator destined to leave after this season, traded away their QB of the future and have watched him go undefeated with his new team, knowing there still IS a chance this is the last year in the window of their dynasty.

The Jacksonville Jaguars - Ravaged by Hurricane Irma in September, helmed by a first round bust QB, filled with arrogant players who PROVE it on an extremely exciting defense. Tom Coughlin's return to the Jaguars and return to facing the Patriots in the playoffs, their top receiver injured within the first few DRIVES of the season, a team who has picked in the top 5 each year of this decade having a chance to appear in the Super Bowl.

  5. Late to this conversation but people need to stop undervaluing Diggs/Thielen. Outside of Pittsburgh there may not be a better tandem.

I'd take Nuk/Will Fuller over them every day of the week.

Also, if a Taco Bell fart had a face...hard to imagine it looking like anything but Sean Payton.

I'd probably take Nuk/Braxton Miller over them but that's just because Nuk outweighs everyone

Don't get me wrong though I love Fuller, I'd just like to see 16 game Fuller more often before putting them as a top tandem

Exactly how I feel. Not enough people giving the Eagles power rushing attack enough credit. That’s what carries the team, even when Wentz was healthy (and not even trying to take away from Wentz by saying this) the run is how they control games. It’s how they win with Foles.

Ajayi especially has been running AWESOME, I do not get why he has EVER had haters or nonbelievers I fucking love his combination of burst, physicality, and creative moves in tight spaces. He can catch and block well too. And imo he showed all these things before the draft at Boise State.

They are one of the only teams, I think is capable of bleeding the clock and having sustained drives against the Vikings D, forcing Keenum to make every drive count.

Well yeah, they had Legarrette "No More Than 3 No Fewer Than 2" Blount, Jay Ajayi, and a dope ass steal in Corey Clement. I love Clement haha.

Clement is a beast. I'll be curious to see who they draft next year. Blount won't be back. I've seen a lot of Ronald Jones mocked to them at the end of Round 1. Ultimately, I hope they move that pick to a team looking for that 5th year in the first round and pick up a 2nd and 3rd since they currently don't have either.

    But Ajayi/RoJo/Clement would be tight.

Also, Sark is coming back to ATL lmao .

If they use their only pick in the first three rounds on a RB it better be because Saquon Barkley got Tunsiled, especially since Sproles wants to come back

This times 1000. They've been incredible this season. I'd take them over the Philly WR corps any day.

I guess it just depends how the board falls. First preference is they trade out and get more picks but ideally, if they keep the pick, I want it to go to the OL or LB. Just not sure anything will be there worthy of the pick.

I take Thielen/Diggs over Jeffery/Agholor (and any other 2 WRs in the league), but overall I'd take Eagles skill positions over Vikings

I’ve said it many times, Clement going undrafted was absurd.

Murray is doing pretty well, but a Dalvin Cook/McKinnon backfield would be much scarier

My favorite post of yours lately. I knew you’d come around hahaha.

That motherfucker walked in day one, brought in star free agents just by being popular around the league, guided a 2017 draft that was all about adding power & toughness, and said “cut the weak bullshit. We are an old school smash mouth team that wins in the trenches. We’re gonna smack offenses in the mouth with a 4 man rush, we’re gonna play man to man all damn day, we’re gonna finish blocks, and we’re gonna run more than we throw.”

I am ELATED to have Coughlin back hahaha. Dude just knows how to shape things up, be a manager and solve the big problems quickly when they are in disarray. He did it with an expansion team here and now he’s doing it again.

  23. When push comes to shove the game is gonna be won in the trenches. It's honestly up to the Eagles O line and if they play great they'll win this game.

Tom's struggles with pressure are typically when a team can bring the pressure without blitzing. I'm thinking back to Rex Ryan and Baltimore. 3 or 4 man rushes getting pressure, especially up the middle, typically have him seeing ghosts. Jax defense scares me a bit. I wish we had Edelman back. He'd be huge stretching the field horizontally.

I didn't come around. I'm pumped because he's BB's Achilles heel. I'm fine with Coughlin and Caldwell but they haven't proved that they're capable of making the tough calls yet.
