  1. I'm just curious to see how Keenum handles the atmosphere in that stadium.

  2. You'd know better than me, how's the Vikings O line ?

I was gonna say he won in Seattle with us before, but his statline was bad (but then again so is Jeff Fisher)

The Vikings were favored against the Saints and are favored against the Eagles. I expect the ratio of "experts" picking the Vikings to be in the 80/20 range (FWIW, the it was 79/21 in favor of the Falcons this past Saturday). Vikings are already being sent to the Super Bowl by everything I've seen so far.

It's early yet but the only pick for the Eagles that I've seen was from Cody Benjamin on CBS and that doesn't count because it's a localized blogger/reporter who is an Eagles fan lol.

    Where?!

Anybody that says the Vikings are better than the Eagles are probably correct in their thinking. If Wentz was playing, Eagles are clearly the better team (IMO) but even with him out, I don't know that the difference is that large and perhaps this is homer me speaking but I would take the Eagles skill position players, OL, DL over the Vikings. Vikings are clearly a better team in the back 7 between their LBs and DBs but I don't think as a whole, it's too big of a gap.

Also, I found a few stats interesting...Vikings have been VERY good at home, much like the Eagles (only loss at home this year came in Week 17 against Dallas when no one played).

Vikings D have allowed 19.0PPG on the road (#8) as opposed to 12.5 (#1) at home. Eagles at home have allowed 13.4PPG (#2). Advantage: Eagles.

Vikings D allows 2.8 yards per rush at home, 4.3 away. Eagles 3.4 at home, 4.3 away. Advantage: Eagles

Case Keenum was dogshit this past Sunday when pressured. 5.1 passer rating when pressured. Eagles are the best pressure team in the league this year.

I think the home field advantage cannot be understated for this game. Eagles could easily lose it but I have a strong feeling they win due to their HFA.

Eagles and Vikings are a wash at skill players

Sark is a dipshit, no debating that.

However, I find it odd that most people are giving the credit to the Eagles win due to the Atlanta playcalling/poor execution more than the Eagles defense.

The Falcons first three points came off the Jay Ajayi fumble. They went 11 plays/59 yards in 5:32 so that was a decent drive.

The Falcons TD came off the muffed punt and they only had to go 18 yards.

IIRC, the Eagles defense didn't allow ATL to cross the 50 more than once or twice (not counting the punt muff, obv.)

At WORST. I'd take Alshon over any WR they have. I'd probably take Nelly over Diggs although either would be fine there. I'll take Ertz over Rudolph and I'd take the Eagles RBs over whatever the hell the Vikings are throwing out there.

Eagles and Vikings are not a wash haha. Eagles have great RB depth, Jeffery, and Ertz. Agholor maybe. Vikings have great RB depth (minus an actual starting RB) plus a great tandem in Adam/Diggs, plus Rudolph.

I just genuinely don't think the Eagles would put up a good game against whoever (Pats) wins (Pats) the AFC (Pats). Vikings make for the best Super Bowl.

Plus when the Vikings beat the Saints people jumped in pools and shit. I don't know what stupid shit they'll do if they lose but it'll probably kill them. In which Case they'll need some Keen #Skolistic healing.

What really stinks about this is the Eagles are in the NFC Championship game without their franchise LT, MVP caliber QB, best LB, and best (or rather, most moveable) chess piece/RB/punt returner.

This really could have been the year if they were healthy.

I don't really think it matters what happens in the NFC. Patriots are winning the god damn Super Bowl no matter what and we all know this.

Oh for sure. Wasn't trying to discount that defense, they're a very good unit. Mix that with Sarkisian, it was going to be a bad time for them for sure. I think Keenum is going to have a hell of a time against that rush

Weird I'd take Diggs over Jeffrey personally but I can see the arguments otherwise.
the tandem of Diggs and Thielen cannot be overstated (combined they have 2125 receiving yards on the regular season)

  15. Like I said, if they don't win Sunday it's a success no matter what.

  16. Like I've said before, I love Keenum and I love his story and he's played great. But he's also been lucky as well with those fucking ridiculous throws. Luckily he has great wide outs catching the ball to bail him out. A defense like the Eagles could easily make him pay for that. The same thing could be said for Foles going against the Vikings defense.

I mean every year in the foreseeable future is y'alls year with a franchise QB like Wentz in charge. Perhaps that's why I'm hoping against hope the Vikings get it this year, likable team, no franchise QB in the ranks (Unless you really believe in Teddy, I don't), this seems like their only shot for awhile.

  18. Unfortunately the reality is the Pats are gonna win the whole thing again.

The Vikings in their home stadium and the entire country rooting for them against the Patriots would be pretty cool. That place would be going nuts.

Would be straight up John Cena vs. CM Punk at Money in the Bank forever ago. I need that.

Really hoping for the Vikings. If the Pats make it with them too, “homefield advantage” could help the Vikings a lot.

Yeah I’m thinking that game is gonna come down to the Jags being able to keep up with the Pats coaching. If they can bring pressure and rattle Brady, get a pick or two then they could totally steal that game. But as we know, out-coaching Belichick is HARD

I mean, maybe. The Eagles seem set on defense for at least 2-3 more years so I'd like to think what you are saying is correct but it's kinda like when the Eagles made it in in 2005, they all thought they'd be right back there and here we are 12+ years later and they are just now playing to get there again.

Aaron Rodgers is otherworldly....and he's only been to one. You just never know.

I guess. The Super Bowl is still going to price out 99% of the common fan. It'd be a cool story but I'm not sure how much of a HFA it would really be.
