Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I can't even imagine having someone else pump my gas, it would throw me off so much

Most of Oregon still can't pump our own gas. It was changed so that counties with populations of less than 40,000 people can pump their own gas, so it only affects super rural counties.

Also it's kinda nice because I can just stay in my warm dry car when I get gas, as it provides jobs where a job might not be otherwise.

tbh those sometimes its a pain in the ass. Sometimes you go to a station with only 1 attendant and he takes awhile to get to you and then when it finishes pumping, he takes awhile to come back to you if its busy

That place was excellent. I'm gonna be in Dallas in spring w/ some internet friends, lets possibly hit it up again.

Yes they are. I was just in Oregon back in July and let me tell you what.....some special people there with some mind-blowing opinions on pumping their own gas.

The fuck you doing bathing in it?

  14. Yooo, living in PA, I hate pumping my own gas. A lot of it probably has to do with me being lazy.

I need to pump my own gas always, I hate having someone else be in control of when I can leave the gas station. I have to be in charge of my own schedule at all times hahaha

But I do see the appeal in it and wish it was more of a "You CAN have someone pump your gas if you want but it's not required" thing

  16. I believe Wawa always has an attendant pumping gas in PA

not at the ones by me they don't

  18. This is going to sound ridiculous but one of the reasons I hate it is because it takes jobs away. I know pumping gas isn't a career but still.

Nah I'm with you on that, I edited after you quoted but like I wish it was more of an option thing to have someone pump your gas and that the people pumping gas could make extra off of it or something, idk. I like the idea of having people able to offer service to make money and open up the job market, but hate that it'd be required for the consumer, but also hate that if it isn't required it's likely that the big gas market won't hire on people to pump. It's hard to find a perfect solution.

I was shocked the first time I went to Oregon and learned they literally weren’t allowed to pump their own gas, that’s just an absurd premise to me.

  22. It's 50/50 type thing, like with everything it has it's pros and cons. I mean the reason I mentioned you look at places like Wawa and Royal Farms, those are great companies to work and to move up in but with certain rules in certain states it just prevents them to hire for certain said postion.
