  1. My dad offered me a free ticket for the Jags game. It’s probably not worth it for me right? I’m 8 hours away and it’s the Bills.

I would take that ticket if offered if I wasn't dead.

    Unfortunately, I'm fucking dead.

This is worrisome. The man probably single-handedly extended bens career by 20%.

You could always give it to @CarpetElf. So we can go together, and carry on our banter/ shenanigans in this thread in real life (i.e. me being wistful and emotional, and him shooting that shit down while we lose and the game proves him right lol)

Real talk though I think we can beat the Bills. It’s not that I don’t respect their talent but it’s more so the matchup.

I think we could stop their rushing attack and dictate the tempo cause we’ve done that almost all season, even when Fournette struggles Yeldon has been picking up slack. Generally teams have to pass a lot against Ramsey/Bouye man coverage to beat us, and the Bills aren’t built to confidently do that, it’s possible but outside their comfort zone.

And that might prevent us from having to lean too much on Bortles. But heck I expect an ugly game where our defense has Taylor running all over the backfield and Bortles likely throws an ugly ass INT somewhere in the third quarter that takes away our momentum. I expect unexpected big plays and scores.

Putting up offensive points might be a drag - special teams, 3 and outs, and turnovers will decide most of this game... and I’m sure there will be one team protecting a narrow lead trying to run the clock out at the end.

Like always, comes down to our defense. I need Telvin Smith to get another pick 6 like he got against them in London. I need Yannick to take his fast to the next level and be faster, if he can sack Jimmy G he can sack Tyrod Taylor. I need Campbell, Poz, and Church focused on McCoy... with Myles Jack keeping an eye on the QB scramble cause he’s the only guy in the box who can keep up. Ramsey will blow up run plays but will Bouye? He plays his size for sure but he also takes poor angles and struggles to redirect. If they run to his side a lot they might have success.

If the game starts to come down to Bortles, it will be the fault of playcalling. We need good balance. It’s possible we try to mash the turbo button too early and he throws us into a hole, or maybe we try to run too predictably and are forced to pass after bad results. In that scenario I will be simultaneously chewing my nails out and emotionally yelping while rooting for @ClarettsGreyGoose and Bills nation. Because they are one of only two NFL teams that deserve it more than we do dammit!!!!

Because I'm on mobile I'm not gonna take the time to clip the quote down, but I regret to inform you that, in regards to the Telvin Smith pick 6 in London, that the Buffalo Bills no longer employ one Erik Rodriguez Manuel Jr. We have a new pick 6 specialist, thank you very much, and the Chargers already handled our yearly "LOL let's have the backup play and shit in his hat" game.

Truthfully I think a Jaguars win is much more likely, but I could see either team winning. The McCoy injury hurts the Bills a lot. Even if he plays he won't be anywhere near 100% and that means more Mike Tolbert which is a personal sore spot but I digress.

The Bills should win this game if they can contain Fournette, which is a huge task considering A) he's good and B) their two best run defenders in the DL are either on IR (Lawson) or play for the Jaguars now (miss you Marcell). But IF they can do that and put the game in the hands of Brick Bottles, everything should be fine. The defense disguises coverages very well and Hyde and Poyer are always there to capitalize if the QB makes a mistake.

On offense, you have Kelvin Benjamin. He's hobbled, but he's huge. Use him. They like to play sticky man, but he's a power forward. Tyrod needs to go outside his comfort zone and let KB use his body because the wide windows just won't be there. Either way, I won't be upset, because the drought is over.

if Brian Urlacher is getting into the Hall of Fame, so should Zach Thomas

I mean are you saying they deserve it JUST AS MUCH because nah

Zach Thomas was really good. But Urlacher was a rare talent who put up all kinds of sack & turnover numbers. He was like Luke Kuechly when it comes to having amazing speed and coverage skill for the position, and being good at creating turnovers. Thomas played the position very very well, Urlacher played beyond the MLB position and often roamed like a safety.

True. I didn’t say that because of Taylor, I said that because Telvin is a defensive TD specialist. Basically I’m hoping he gets involved in a turnover cause he’s very hard to chase down when he gets the ball haha, he’s got two TD this year already.

Main reason I think we can win. Our run defense is hit or miss and has been gashed this year by better RBs. If McCoy is hindered that asks the Bills to pass the ball more. Honestly the more Tyrod Taylor has to do to win this game, the more confident I feel because our pass D is the best part of our team. This is really a battle of who can move the ball while putting the least stress on their QB haha.

Very true. I 100% believe that if we don’t establish the run early Bortles will dig us a hole.

Jalen and Bouye specialize against big receivers. It’s good to use size matchups but I think you might be surprised just how physical Ramsey actually is haha. He shocks me on a regular basis with how he throws his whole body at blockers to blow up stretch / sweep runs, and how he absolutely refuses to get boxed out on a route. Players usually only beat him if they can get a full 2 yards of separation, DeAndre Hopkins is the only guy that wins a lot of close quarters battles with Ramsey.

You’re better off attacking Bouye with a fast WR than assuming Benjamin will win physically just cause he’s 6’5”. Bouye has good instincts but he’s kinda stiff and his top end speed leaves a little to be desired. Hes not one to be fooled or react too early to a route... but he can be tripped up on his footwork, and then he’s slow to flip his hips and change direction.

Funny enough, all the receptions against Ramsey in the Titans game were freak plays where Decker/whoever would just flat out fall down from contact and the ball would happen to reach their lap.

Man Bortles and Mariota probably underthrew a combined 20+ post or corner routes in that game

Urlacher had 22 INTs in his career and 11 forced fumbles

Zach Thomas had 17 INTs and 16 forced fumbles

yes Urlacher has the edge in sacks, but the Dolphins never really used ZT as that

I actually have a scorching take

Making the Hall Of Fame is less important than making the Pro Bowl

Hall Of Fame snubs half the amazing players in football which decreases its legitimacy and doesn't pay

Pro Bowl snubs players decreasing its legitimacy but Pro Bowlers get paid contract incentives for making it
