they haven't played a full decent game in about a decade (on defense). this was long, long, long overdue.

Can't wait for Tom Cable to coach the Colts

 

Stafford is gonna be GREAT under McDaniels. Really earn that 30 million dollars to finish 7th in the NFC.

 

I feel like watching a pig roll around in mayonnaise would be pretty entertaining.

 

So many franchises for Marvin Lewis to make supremely mediocre and fill with awful people....

 

They'll just find someone else and not miss a beat, friggin Patriots man

Meh, honestly I think he’s a good coach and can definitely be useful to another franchise, though perhaps not as head coach.

The Bengals were just stagnant for too long and showed too much lack of a discipline. They needed a change, and I think it’d be good for Marvin too. Important to consider how the Bengals were prior to his arrival, the sadness was extremely real.

 

They should honestly blow up the team and go into full scale rebuilding mode.

 

this is true, and i thought about it right after my post. heck, 9-7/ 8-8 years for this team would have been considered a god send Marvin's first 5 years (and were considered that his first 5 years). and i bet if you would have told the fanbase "we'll go to the playoffs 6-7 of those years and win 2 division titles" they would have a) not believed you and b) accepted and thrown millions at Lewis to continue that.

but, they did get good and like you said, they were too stagnant for too long now (after they were really quite good) and a breath of fresh air is needed.

 

this makes me wonder - what other franchises should go into full scale / near full scale rebuild mode?

- Bengals
- Cardinals (at least offensively. NFC West is stacked now, Carson is done, Fitz has maybe 2 years left as a #2)
- Potatoskins
- Giants
- Buccaneers (although they have some great pieces, and really, maybe they already are in full scale rebuild mode)
- Jets
- Browns (endless cycle, outside of some good pieces)
- Broncos
- Colts
- Texans (outside of some good pieces)

 

Vance Joseph is gonna get fired because he had to start one of Elway's three, hand-picked terrible quarterbacks?

 

Elway as an executive is a fuckin doofus. He is the GM version of Jerry Jones. Just shut your mouth and stay in your lane. Let the coaches coach.

The Colts? They never left. They have BY FAR the worst organization in football haha. It was literally all Luck
