Indy's SOS is too low to rise over Texans, especially when you consider they're playing the Texans tomorrow. Even if the Texans win tomorrow, I don't think the pick will be lower than 6 though!

Colts winning would be a sweep of us though which would have them above us in the standings wouldn't it? Not sure how that works as far as draft position goes but I think it'd have you picking twice before the Colts.

Nope. Head-to-head is only for playoffs. The draft is just your record, followed by strength of schedule. If those are tied, it goes to divisional record, conference record, and, if that's somehow all the same, it's a coin toss.

Hashtag blessed that my aunt and uncle are Jags season ticket holders so they were able to grab two extra tickets for me on Tuesday before they sold out.

Well they have no safety depth and just cut him loose for a special teamer. But seriously, he's pretty raw and undersized. He goes for the kill shot too often. Actually put his own teammate, Jerel Worthy, into concussion protocol for like 5 weeks at the start of the season.

They removed the upper-level tarps (the ones they put on to prevent blacked out games) and sold an extra 3501 tickets this morning. That’s how I got mine!

oh stop. Marqise Goodwin and Marqise Lee both led their teams in receiving this year. Granted in Lee's case it was because of injuries. They may be overrated but they come into the NFL with polished route running, knowledge of a full west coast route tree, and consistent game speed.

JuJu is legit a better player than Martavis Bryant right now haha.

"USC receivers are bad" is as dead of a trend as "Alabama runningbacks are bad." Got 3 of each, all recently drafted, all doing a solid job and continuing to show positive development in the NFL. Sure, none of the WRs are WR1 material, and all the backs are better suited to time-shares than featured roles, but they're all good players who contribute to their teams that you can't really consider a bust.

I always argue against like, applying a player's college team to their production in the NFL, haha it's not just you. Good players succeed regardless of the team they came from!

I bet you can guess who debates this one with me a lot. :)

  18. I think the most realistic best case scenario for Panthers is for New Orleans to win Sunday and clinch the division. This would make our game pointless because no matter what we are the 5 seed, but in this scenario we win and eliminate the Falcons. 49ers beat the Rams which makes LA our first round opponent. We get by them and then play the Vikings (Seattle upsets NO). We get by Vikings and then host Seattle for the NFC championship.

But we will get the Saints in the first round and get toasted.

There is actually an observable trend with a lot of these schools though! USC receivers are constantly overrated for their athleticism. Lee was absurdLee overrated. And both of those players lead their teams because of how bad their receiving corps are.

Oklahoma State, for example, is notable for being unable to produce NFL talent despite having great athletes.

I mean sure, but when you hold it against every USC receiever or Alabama back that comes into the NFL, its kinda presumptuous don’t you think? To assume automatically that they’ll do the same thing as the last players at their position from that school? Any player can break the cycle, and if they get paired with the right staff, there are coaches who can break bad habits.

I agree with you that players coming from a prestigious college program tend to be overrated / receive more positive projections. But a lot of them are still good despite not reaching those expectations, if you can look past the hype. Sometimes I feel people overcompensate and judge USC receivers harsher, just in an overzealous response to the unreasonable perception that they are supposed to walk into the NFL as WR1s.
