I don't understand why coaches think it's more important to practice short field goals on 4th and short rather than practice going for it on 4th and short. They should just prohibit FGs/punts in the preseason honestly.

How did I compare them then? Because you're personally attacking me because I disagreed with you.

I said they had a similar throwing motion and size. And they were both inaccurate.

I mean Freeman was 15 pounds heavier and 2 inches taller than Kizer coming out, so. And again I don't see the similar throwing motions at all, and Kizer is much more consistently accurate but we've already done this. It's seems like people have been comparing Freeman to [insert black quarterback prospect they don't like] for awhile now. Even if it isn't a a conscious thing, it certainly seems to exist at least as an implicit bias. If you weren't doing that, consciously or unconsciously, then fine dude. Go ahead and continue to bring it up every time I post.

They were compared as prospects. That's fine that that's a fact, it doesn't make them similar as prospects. If I was making a comparison of Paxton Lynch to Andrew Luck based on the fact that they both had winning records in their final season you'd, rightfully, say I was being absurdly myopic.

I have literally never heard anyone compared to Josh Freeman before Kizer.

And for the fourth time, wins in college mean nothing, LACK of wins does.

Probably because you're not on twitter.

Lack of wins also means absolutely nothing. Elway, for example, had a losing college record, and a losing record his final year.

Josh Freeman's senior season - 58.7% completion, 2,925 yards, nine interceptions, 472 yards rushing, 3.8 yards per carry
Deshone Kizer's senior season - 58.6% completion, 2,945 yards, eight interceptions, 404 yards rushing, 3.7 yards per carry

Also, one QB being mentioned in the same post as another is not a comparison what the fuck lol. And Winston replaced Freeman! lol. That's like saying it's fucked up to compare Luck and Manning wtf.

Elway stood out as one of the best quarterbacks in the nation (Kizer did not) while playing in a VERY different era of football. Also, he didn't have a winning record because of the fucking Play lol. He literally led a game winning drive against their biggest rival and lost, while not on the field, on one of the wildest plays in sports history.

That Spencer Ware injury is a major bummer. But hey, football is a physical game, bound to be some Ware and tear.

I guess now we'll have to call him Spencer Worn.

Notice you conveniently left out their TDs. Also their yards per attempt. And what about their supporting casts? What about their systems? What about their competition/conferences? What about Kizer playing in a goddamn hurricane for one game that singlehandedly dropped his completion percentage under 60%? What about their second to last seasons? And, like, we're now comparing college stats to say two quarterbacks are similar prospects? What in the world is happening.

You can literally scroll down and see them compared as prospects. Or just read this I guess. There were also people comparing Teddy Bridgewater, Cardale Jones, Brett Hundley, Logan Thomas, Dak Prescott, Jacoby Brissett (this one is self-aware!) to Josh Freeman.

There also aren't any true Scotsman.

Cool, he would've still had an overall losing college record if they won that game while Kizer has an overall winning record in college. Clearly, there should have been less questions about Kizer than Elway because of that fact.

It's silly to me that if, leaving all else equal, you switched Notre Dame's 2015 and 2016 record you'd think completely differently about Kizer as a prospect.

Anyway this is basically the same conversation over and over again, and it's frankly tangential to the point because Anton, by his own words, didn't compare them on the basis of stats or record (and it was literally factually incorrect to say they were comparable based on size). Last post on this for the sake of the thread.
