Tell me what I missed Supporter

Savage seriously looked like everything I hated about him last year. Can't call protections, takes unnecessary sacks because he waits too long for plays to open up, misses reads. The run game gets worse when he starts. His talent level is basically equal to Brock's: better accuracy but worse at running the team.

Our defense is playing good coverage and handling it terribly. I'm glad this is happening in the preseason so we can actually work on it. I feel like they're chasing highlights and not making practical plays and letting the Panthers continuously make plays on them.

McCaffery looked really good on that drive. Too bad that's probably the last series for the starters.

I've turned on this game like 8 different times and literally every time it's the panthers offense on the field. I have not seen Texans offense or special teams at all lol

Foreman is one of the bright spots for sure.

I have to go back and rewatch since I missed so much on my drive home, but I'll say if the Texans play like this in the regular season we're screwed. I'm glad we're getting to notice what needs to be fixed ASAP.

LOL. So believe it or not there was a Jags quarterback with a worse throwing motion than Bortles. He became Ben Roethlisberger's backup for awhile after we didn't resign him. He had what announcers called a "windmilll release", where he would extend his whole arm entirely behind and below his shoulder blade, making a fully extended, entire wide circle with his throwing arm.

Throwing motions are supposed to be compact and efficient... Leftwich's was about as opposite from that as you could get, even though he wasn't terrible and had a 3800/26/14 season his third year. The throwing motion never changed/improved, and that extra half second of wind-up time caused a lot of problems in the pocket. He was also slow as shit, probably had about Kerry Collins' mobility lol, at times he was a statue who didn't even shuffle his feet... so there was no saving him if our blocking wasn't perfect. (honestly our O-line was really fucking good in the mid 2000s and thats the only reason he had success.)

He actually was pretty accurate, but when he wasn't fumbling because of his WAY too low recoil point... or throwing telegraphed INTs because his slow release gave defenders a lot more time to react... he was ripping fingers off WRs with slingshot-style 60 mph bullets. I think Madden had his throwing power stat on par with Jay Cutler, Ben, Mike Vick at 97... but that was really his best attribute. Most of his best throws just whizzed right by defenders, if he tried to throw with touch, he was bad and easy for defenders to read.

He is now the QB coach of the Arizona Cardinals and calling the plays for their first preseason game??? A QB who didn't even get a legit second contract because his mechanics, touch AND pocket movement were so bad... how does he become a QB coach? All of those are things you need a QB coach to be experts in. Leftwich's career is literally a disgrace to and a failure by our QB coach at the time hahaha.

Carson Palmer's little brother is one of the best quarterback coaches in the world and he never started a game in the NFL.

I know he's well known but is he one of the best in the world? Cause Jordan Palmer is one of the main guys who coaches Bortles every offseason.

Granted, Tom House does too and he also works with Tom Brady so I could just argue with myself at 2:15 AM instead

    Preseason proclamations are my favorite.

Put him up against starters that aren't playing base vanilla looks and watch the interceptions pile up.

  25. Although it was limited, I was very pleased with what I saw from the Panthers offense. Benjamin needed that type of performance after everything he's been through. Two catches and destroyed both CBs in the process. McCaffrey also looked very promising.
