So I'm perusing around the stat sheet to see where Devin White ranks in terms of tackles considering he's had over 60 in the last five games and I discover there is a player with 106 fucking tackles already what the fuck

 

West Coast teams, not just Washington. This isn't a new problem.

No, there isn't. If you win out, you're in the playoff. They will not keep out an undefeated team from a P5 conference unless there was super weird scenario. I'm sympathetic with the west coast feeling the east coast bias; that sucks. Voters going to bed before games on the west coast are finished is bullshit, I agree. However, you're just delusional if you think an undefeated P5 team will be shut out of the CFP. The whole system is set up to reward P5 teams.

So I love sports stats. Like, a lot. I'm more apt to look at stat-derived power rankings than the polls, but if there is one thing I've learned from spending nearly two years covering college athletics a while ago: individual stats (like tackles) are atrociously inaccurate haha.

 

It is 100 percent more so Washington than the others. Oregon was embraced. USC is so heavily embraced that they still think they won my fucking championship. UTAH was embraced. The way the media talks about Washington is absolutely different than how they've talked about any other west coast team that has come up like they have.

Oh yeah, that's not an indication of skill nor do I think all of those are accurate. Still, 106 lol.

 

UW hasn’t won in Tempe since 2001 and that looks like it’ll continue. They look like dog shit.

Indifferent to TCU, but UW fans make it out like it's a giant conspiracy and no one likes them and should be booted from all athletics ever. It's melodramatic, IMO.

All I want in football is for coaches to be aggressive and stop settling for field goals. So much "just get three points" when it doesn't really change anything annoys the shit out of me.
