I love watching John Kelly play football.

 

I would be behind this if I hadn't seen him throw that shovel pass INT live.

 

ACC is in shambles. NC State is about to be at the top and I love it.

 

This UT game is crazy

 

I’m at dollywood in line for a rollercoaster and everyone is staring at our phones and when the play notification/twitter update came through the groan was so loud I snorted

 

John Kelly didn’t touch the ball once on the four plays we had within three yards of the goal. He’s one of the best running backs in the league. What sort of imbecile coaches like that?!

 

That killed me. Also a play earlier in the game they were backed up to their 2 yard line. They complete a pass for 2 yards and it would have been 3rd and 10. Butch accepts a holding penalty so now it’s 2nd and 12 instead of 3rd and 10.

 

No timeouts. Would've been tough. It was dumb, tho. UT wasted 10 secs on 1st getting a play in.

Weird. One of the least objectionable Dabo things ever.

I don’t know....I don’t need the other coach coming to congratulate me in the locker room. It’s kinda degrading imo. Overly humble people are no longer humble.

 

In this context I don't think it is. Considering one team is the defending champion and the other is a basketball school with a bad basketball team

Well, I never said the first thing. I don’t think that’s a problem in sports. But ok.

 

My point is, people that want to show you how humble they are all the time aren’t humble. JJ Watt, Russell Wilson are other examples.

i think it's an interesting dynamic - on one hand it's a super awesome thing for Dabo to do, but i wonder what his players think of it.

the only thing that really made me do shifty eyes was that he allegedly took a bunch of selfies with the Syracuse players after talking to them. that... that part seems really weird. it's one thing to say, "hey great game you kicked our ass, well done" but to take selfies seems like the oddest move

 

How many of those kids did he know from recruiting? The amount of overlap between opposing coaches and opposing players is incredible and most people don't realize it.

 

I'm not taking a side either way because I don't give a shit but I can't imagine Dabo would be very familiar with many (if any) of the kids who went to Syracuse. They likely weren't recruited by Clemson.

 

20 true freshman have started so far. God damn
