Still kinda surprises me Ed Orgeron is a head coach.

i can only imagine what the fanbase will be saying shortly. first home non-conference loss since 2000. and to Troy. that's crazy.

Did you not watch tonights game? Haha.

It would probably just depend on which team I actually liked more, player wise.

To be fair, it's a surprise his two assistants aren't.

Also, if they fire Orgeron i will be even sadder than when they fired Miles. Can you imagine actually firing Orgeron? He IS LSU football.

interesting about the teams... didn't know if it shifts / rotates for favorite team / team you like more or if they were set in place like 1A, 1B, 1C.

For sure. His staff is great, but I'm not sure there's much more that needs to be seen that he's a wonderful complimentary piece on a coaching staff but not a head man.

LSU is my team, Nebraska is family, UCF is school. Generally speaking it's LSU 1a, Nebraska 1b.

always interesting to see where allegiances lie and why. friend at work is Chicago Bears: family, Buffalo Bills: husband's family, NY Giants: hometown team. another friend is San Jose Sharks, San Francisco 49ers, Orlando Magic and some random northeast team for baseball if i recall.

Is he more or less mobile than DeShaun?

He's easily the better runner, but he has a ways to go as a passer.

You don't think he got better sitting behind Deshaun for a few years?

I'm sure being in this same offense has helped him tremendously. And the offense he played in at Wren in high school is like Clemson Lite. Very similar scheme.

He was an outstanding, record setting dual threat high school quarterback.

I coached against him in 2014 in the playoffs and we upset them (1 seed versus 4 seed), but ONLY because our goofy defensive end fell into him and he suffered an ankle sprain: High School Sports Report

He relies on his legs to be effective as a passer and that's still pretty apparent, but I know for a fact that he's very smart in the classroom just like Deshaun. He hasn't really done anything to hurt this team yet.

He has some accuracy issues (similar to Watson) but he's making good decisions. So far, so good.

not as exciting seeing as I grew up mostly in Washington but:

    - Seattle Seahawks (obvious, grew up in Seattle)
    - Seattle SuperSonics / Portland Trailblazers (after the Sonics left I've "adopted" the Blazers until a Seattle based team returns)
    - Seattle Mariners (but like baseball maybe a 1 out of 10 so this doesn't really count)
    - Anaheim Ducks (grew up with The Might Ducks movies and thought the movies and the team were somehow connected so I became a big fan of the actual team)
    - Oregon Ducks (went to school at Eugene)
    - Cincinnati Bearcats (went to school there too)
    - Houston Texans (only reason: they beat Dallas in their very first game and half my childhood was growing up in Wisconsin and Dallas always kicked the shit out of the Packers which pissed off my family who's from there, and I was a huge Favre fan so it pissed me off when Dallas beat them so seeing them lose to an expansion team in week 1 was awesome)

I know Charlie Strong is winning with Taggart's kids, but he might have some scary brewing at USF.

Who's left that can beat them besides UCF? Maybe Tulsa, but I don't know.

I don't think USF looks very good at all. A scary and consistent Group of Five team, sure.

Man, is every backup who doesn't win the starting job in a major conference just gonna keep transferring till they graduate?

They played Stony Brook a month ago. Offensively, they are rolling now.

Slow starts might bite them in the ass sooner or later, but Flowers and the run game are lethal.

would be awesome to see USF go undefeated and go to a major bowl game. i remember like a decade ago when they were somehow #2 in the country for a week or two.

Yeah, they were #2 and that was around the time Kansas climbed to #2 also haha. Crazy times. I miss those days.

Based on tonight, I'd be betting UCF is the one to go undefeated.

Those Todd Reesing Kansas teams were so fun to watch. Same with Chase Daniels Mizzou around the same time.

    I loved that Kansas team.

Jake Sharp, Dezmon Briscoe, and Kerry Meier were ballers.
