It was great to make it out to a live game. I missed all of the games last year.

 

baylor is the only winless power conference team in the nation at 0-3 (FSU is 0-1). nice

 

Auburn just dismissed Sean White following public intoxication arrest early Sunday morning.

Sad end to his time at Auburn. He had a hard time staying healthy due to his size, but I always had faith in him when he wasn't injured. Hope he recovers from the situation and is able to use his eligibility elsewhere.

Although I get it from the perspective of doing it to try and keep the shutout and not just acting like an ass. Defenses and defensive minded coaches love shutouts and they're hard to come by.

 

Francesca is my man... and he's spot on with this take. Bush league move by psu. Icing the kicker in a 56-0 in collegiate sports is asinine.

 

James Franklin is classless.

I hope Penn State misses out on the CFB playoff because of a missed field goal.

 

They're a shit organization and Franklin is indeed classless. I also have no problem with them icing a kicker whose scholarship they probably paid for.

 

Icing a kicker in a meaningless win late in the game early on in the season is a really good opportunity for your second and third string guys to practice keeping the mental focus needed for when you're icing a kicker in a top ten clash with the actual game on the line late in the season.

This weekends game against Colorado (in Boulder) is probably the second toughest one on the schedule for Washington. If they can get past this one, they're probably undefeated going into the Oregon/Stanford back to backs in November.

I'm a little nervous for this one but think they should take care of business.

 

This is the one I had them losing. I hope they do and both teams win out haha.

 

What does that mean?

 

I like Washington and Colorado. I think Washington gets upset by Colorado.

 

I dunno man my childhood playing sports I never once gave any thought to sportsmanship. If someone floated I didn’t care, I was more upset they got the chance to gloat. If a team kept pouring it on even when winning big it didn’t bother me, I was more upset that we were losing by that much.

IMO the sportsmanship stuff is more a topic for fans and sports writers to wring their hands over. And coaches too because they have massive egos.

 

I definitely think there is a way to win and lose with class. It should be taught at an early age. That said, NCAA football is not setup to promote those things. I don’t blame teams running the score up bc it’s in their best interests to do so. I still cringe at it. Franklin is one of my least favorite coaches so it doesn’t surprise me that he did this.

 

Very excited to go to the UGA v Miss St game saturday. Nick Fitzgerald went to my high school (years after me) and i am a UGA grad. I hope he does well in general, but I hope he gets sacked 30 times on saturday.
