    It was a fake report

Also why is it LOL? FSU is a legit top job most people would take and his dream job, supposedly.

For the love of shit FSU fans and everyone else not familiar, stop spelling it "taggert". It's the only thing that irks me. You're praying for him but you can't spell his damn name.

Yeah, this isn't Malzahn to Arkansas. It makes sense.

Are you an Oregon fan? I live in the Pacific Northwest and find their fanbase to be quite possibly the most annoying in virtually all sports so anything that makes them sad, is "LMAO" worthy for me.

It's easy for me to hate them and it's really as simple as that. Things were looking up with that program with Taggart and the staff he assembled. If he leaves and takes major pieces of that staff with him, UO will need to blow things up because I guarantee you at least 50% of that class bails, especially the Florida commits he has who will just follow him to FSU.

Of course it makes sense. I'm not arguing that even a little bit. But as a Washington fan living in Seattle and having Oregon as probably our #2 rival (next to Washington State), this is good news and a quick look at various Oregon football forums and seeing their fans in a meltdown is great news. Love to see it.

Hey cool, we open with y'all next year in ATL. What will be the expectations?

I'm sure Auburn wins, especially if Stidham comes back. Long trip for the Huskies similar to the Peach Bowl last year. Will essentially be a home game for Auburn.

Huskies are going to have some questions on the DL with their two biggest studs likely leaving (one for sure). Long ways away but I think you guys win that.

edit: Just noticed Stidham is only a Soph? So he will be back. Auburn wins.

He's an RS sophomore, so he could leave, but I doubt he does. Auburn loses 3 seniors on o line, but will return all receivers and RBs with Stidham (if Pettway and Johnson don't go pro). Defense loses key pieces on each level, but they had plenty of underclassmen starting/playing meaningful time. I think there will be some dropoff, but not too much. is Browning back?

I don’t live in the PNW. I can assure you Michigan, OSU, hell, FSU fanbases are much, much worse.

Well I would say its all about where you live. If you live where I do, you get the trickle down effect with UM, FSU, OSU, Bama, Etc. but obviously this region is primarily composed of UW, WSU, and Oregon fans so my opinion is obviously marred by that. But I find them to be insufferable so anything that might affect them negatively, I'm all for.

Might they get better if Taggart leaves and they bring Jeff Tedford or Beau Baldwin in? Sure they could but until that happens, I'm just going to enjoy this.

Browning, unfortunately, will be back. He's another reason I am down on them next year. I've made it clear here that I am no Jake Browning fan. They have two stud QB commits in this class who sound like they're both going to sign during the early signing period in two weeks but won't see either until 2019 unless Jake gets hurt.

Huskies are going to lose their #1 WR (Pettis), #1/#2 RBs (Gaskin, Coleman) on offense so I'll be curious to see what they do there next year. Definitely don't get a gentle game to open the year.

Okay, interesting. I'm only 2 1/2 hours to Atlanta, so I might try to go. I am debating getting tickets to the bowl game against UCF, but I think I'm better off saving my money for this one.

I was going to go but it'll be a few grand between tickets, flight, hotel, general expenses so I decided to sit it out. I already spend a shitload on my season tickets here so I have to reign it in at some point.

College sports fans are so fucking weird where they seem to take more enjoyment in the fall of other teams than they do in the successes of their own.

Isn't it obvious that the most insufferable fans are Notre Dame fans? Still riding the glory of their heyday yet haven't won a title in three decades. Take a seat, leprechauns.

Uhhhhhh.....I am pretty stoked on the rise of UW Football since Petersen got there. What are you talking about?

    More enjoyment? Wrong. Enjoyment? Abso-fuckin-lutely.

I never said you didn't take enjoyment in the rise of UW, but you post a lot about all the other schools downturns. I, personally, don't give a fuck about if Michigan is struggling or whatever their program does. I just want MSU to beat them. Even in the Brady Hoke era, even with how shitty a lot of their fans are, I never took extra enjoyment out of their program turning into a shitshow during the Rich Rod/Brady Hoke era.

I can tell you with 10000000% certainty that I enjoy (to an enormous capacity) the success of UW football much more than the downfall of any of our direct rivals in the P12N (Oregon, Wazzu) and that's really about it.

Wazzu is just comical because they'll never out recruit UW and will likely not win another Apple Cup until Petersen retires so I don't worry much about them. Oregon is a national brand because of Uncle Phil/Nike and what Chip Kelly did so they are obviously more of a threat and so I will happily take pride in anything that damages them.

Also helps that UW isn't really in the news right now outside of bringing back Bush Hamdan to be the OC next year. I'd likely be posting a lot more about them if they had newsworthy things to talk about.

really weird stuff coming from the UF/FSU coaching searches. taggart was pretty clearly the 4th choice for the gators, and while two of them were unreasonable choices, that’s ... pretty far down the list. yet he’s #1 for FSU and i’m seeing a ton of “they’re gonna be sorry i’m 2 years” and “wow we crushed them lmao” sentiment from FSU’s fanbase. just weird.

I'm not sold on Taggart as a gameday coach. He did a handful of weird things this year in the Oregon games that I watched (granted these were without Justin Herbert and he screwed himself into having to burn the redshirt on Burmeister) but he's one hell of a recruiter.

I think if he goes to FSU, they are right back in it next year just based off his recruiting prowess.

I don't see how anyone can consider Taggart a better coaching hire than Mullen. Until Taggart does it on a big stage for a sustained period of time (which I do think he can do), Mullen is the better choice.

And funny enough Mullen was the guy they ranked after taggart in case they couldn't get him

    It was basically this order

    Mcelwain
    Rhule
    Taggart
    Mullen

Agents do a great job of pushing their clients through journalists. If I asked FSU fans who they would take two weeks ago they'd aim way higher than WT, now they're swarming and begging for him lol I'm not saying he's a bad coach but when your name is out there and touted, it helps a lot.

Also Mullen would've left for the UF job if they hired him anyway. They're gonna be in a pretty bad situation going forward because they can't afford to overpay to keep coaches, their games are getting more and more empty. Gotta find a diamond in the rough.
