We reach for the longest shadow

Both would do great there, but I really think Brent could wait til next year and do even better.

A better job than UT and he’s never been a HC?

Sumlins holding off ucf to see if he could get the ducks job that'll open tonight

Yeah. I'm pretty sure he could've gotten Auburn if it opened up this year. He seems content to wait around for the perfect situation, and I'm not convinced that is Tennessee.

It mostly depends on his relationship with fulmer, if he has a deep relationship like they say then I think you'd feel good about taking it.

yes lol. pretty easily. hell, he could still end up getting arkansas this year and that’s a better job.

I didn’t realize he could have gotten the auburn HC position if Gus left.
Arkansas would be a great job, but why do you think it’s a better job than Tennessee?

Unfortunately I think it is because of how toxic this coaching search has been so far.

Maybe when Currie was the AD yeah. But now that Phil is back in charge, I don’t think so.

Also, fuck Florida State forever. They do not deserve Taggart and I'm going to be pissed if UCF loses Sumlin because of FSU.

I don't know for sure if sumlin even gets the job, they could instantly reject him and elevate someone else. It's more about if ucf will be patient, they could still get him if they can wait a few days. Frost is coaching the bowl game, not much of a rush for them.

It's quite simple....if Taggart leaves, that recruiting class implodes from the inside (hell, it already started). Just when they started to get excited about a Top 5 recruiting class, too. Shame (not really, fuck em).

Leavitt going with, if true, is a backbreaker.

okay? he was there one year. it isn’t going to completely wreck the program. plus, leaving OU for FSU isn’t really anything that laughable - it’s not like it was for ORST, it is for a top tier program lol. of course he left; OU will be fine

    Okay.

Maybe if they hire Tedford or Baldwin. That legit class they have now will not stick, to say it won't hurt them is silly, imo.

So wait. ASU fired Todd Graham and hired Herm Edwards and he's (being forced to?) keep every single one of Graham's assistants? K.

losing a coach will hurt any program. i don’t think losing taggert is “LMAO” worthy, or that big of a deal at all. he was there one year. they’ve recruited well before he was there (i realize it’s their best class) and they’ll recruit better after. this isn’t really as funny as how tennessee or arkansas or arizona state have handled the carousel. your initial reaction was weird, especially since taggert has been their top target since rumors about jimbo started floating around and this hardly comes as a surprise.

herm isn’t being brought on to coach. he’s being brought on to maintain the program (which he won’t) until one of the assistants, who are promising, are ready to take over.
