I need Wisconsin to show some sort of pulse on offense. Like, I do not want this to be a blowout to further enhance the Ohio State argument over Bama.

But you're not, though. By your argument, UCF is the best team in the league. Perfect record and a title!

In what potential reality does this hypothetical scenario exist? If Wisconsin or Miami win, then they should be in over Alabama. If they lose, neither would have a conference championship or more wins than Alabama, nor would Ohio State. So, you're arguing about something that won't exist one way or another.

The West is bad. Going to be interesting in like three years with Fleck and Frost. Will be enjoyable to see how Wisconsin responds to those two programs.

The scenario we are talking about is Miami wins.

If Miami loses, obviously they don't deserve to be in over Alabama.

Uh yeah. UCF should have a shot at a title, certainly over a team that doesn't even win their conference.

Oh man, is that Wisconsin? That's good shit. I'm not a huge shandy person but I'll destroy their Lemon Shandy. And that Cranberry Ginger one they have, that's also dangerous.

Damn, it's hard to keep up with this rapid fire commenting...

That said, If Miami wins, then Clemson is out, which still leaves the fourth spot open for Alabama.

The first article of clothing I wore in my entire life was a Nebraska onesie. I still have it. It hangs above the 1997 Championship license plate that Scott Frost's parents gave my father. I am getting my degree from UCF in six months. Put all the emphasis left in your body behind reading this next statement: MOTHERFUCKER. WHAT.

yeah. the Wisconsin losing scenario certainly creates a mess.

I disagree with Alabama getting in over OSU, USC or UCF in that scenario, but its a somewhat reasonable choice as they have shown that a non-conference winner with a better record can get in over a conference winner.

But Alabama getting in over the winner of Miami/Clemson is absurd to me

  19. Wisconsin will respond by being a 9 win team again

Miami is first in turnovers. Miami is 105th in points off turnovers.

They won all their games, which is what you're supposed to do in football. Why not give them a chance?

I don't think you'll find anyone in this thread more of a fan of mid major football -- I have the fuckin NJCAA Heart of Texas Bowl open in a tab right now -- but UCF should not be in a college football playoff over Alabama.

Because they won all their games against lesser opponents. They deserve a chance, I agree. But you can't logically argue it in a four team system.
