Clemson, Alabama, Wisconsin, and Ohio State are in the running, in that order.

 

If Miami wins they are a one loss conference champion from a power five conference and absolutely deserve a spot over anyone else

 

Have you watched Miami at all this season? Their resume is beating an overrated Notre Dame team and continually struggling against teams with losing records.

The playoffs need to be eight teams. I don't get an argument against it. What, do you want to be less entertained? There aren't nearly as many questions that way. Five conference champions, top Group of Five, two At-Large.

Notre Dame struggled against bad teams all season. Yes, they won the games they needed to win but they struggled against 2, 3, 4 win teams. This is indicative of a massive problem within the organization and proof that they are not one of the elite teams.
