Curious - Are we now saying that Penn State should've gone last year?

Then what's the argument for Ohio State? It's literally the same thing. Does a two loss team with a bad loss really deserve it over a one loss team that is clearly better?

 

Man, it feels good to see Auburn eating shit tonight. Hopefully Bama can squeak in and Auburn can sit at home and watch the two teams they rushed the field for participate in the playoffs.

This season is showing that the playoffs need to be expanded to 8 teams in my opinion

 

13-0 Wisconsin is not better than an 11-1 Alabama by any stretch of the imagination. That’s coming from someone who lives in the Deep South and hates Alabama and a good portion of their fans (FSU fans aren’t any better before someone tries to say something).

Ohio State’s overall body of work is still better, imo. Wins against Wisconsin and Penn State are better than anything Alabama has, and Michigan State is up there too. One of their losses was to the team that’s going to be #2, and Alabama got pretty well handled by a three loss team. I just don’t find Alabama’s resume impressive whatsoever.

It's only hard if OSU wins.

Your choices then become:

* A two loss conference champion with a bad loss to Iowa but a couple of good wins
* A different two loss conference champion with a less remarkable schedule than the other conference champ
* A one loss team that didn't even make their conference championship game, has like one good win, and already has a representative from their conference playing
* A different one loss team that just lost their conference championship game and doesn't have any real good wins.
* A undefeated team from a non power conference with no good wins

None of those options are great.
