Last few plays:

- blocked kicked called back for delay of game MEMPHIS
- FG miss by about six miles MEMPHIS
- pass play UCF
- interception thrown UCF
- sack for 20 yards MEMPHIS

 

What an ending this is turning out to be.

 

But Oklahoma has played a significantly stronger schedule and their defense has at least shown they can be capable of slowing down quality competition (Ohio State, TCU).

 

How do you have a delay of game there?

 

As soon as I saw Patterson was transferring I was hoping Fulmer would give him a call, but...

It was announced on television mid-game... how bizarre.

 

I mean, everyone already knew.

 

It’s just not a good look.

 

Weird to watching Frost right now knowing what we know

 

And wonder if he knows that we know

 

Nebraska is gonna win the B1G within three years.

 

I don’t understand how any of this is weird? It’s not like he doesn’t love these UCF players. Or isn’t excited for the program and what they accomplished.

You mean, what we knew a week ago? It was inevitable. There was nothing secretive about his future.

 

For sure, but just weird that they announce it with like 2 mins left in the game - and a a game still being decided. I imagine no one on the sideline knew that was happening and I'm sure Frost didn't expect news to be "officially" announced while his team was playing in the most exciting game of the year.

 

Wonder if he told the team before the game? Or if anyone has done that? Or if that would only help / hurt the mindset of the team. I'm sure it would vary player to player.

 

We had a strong suspicion this would come to be, but it still doesn't seem cordial. Not Frost's fault. He was on the field, or course... who ever else was responsible, however. They should feel bad.

 

I agree. I could see if the score was like the Oklahoma game, but that was a great game and was a very weird time to announce it. Wondering how many casual fans were confused as shit haha.

"Wait, isn't that the guy on the sideline for that team right now?"

 

Didn’t the news officially break around the start of overtime? That’s not coincidence.

 

Yeah guys, they scheduled the announcement immediately following the game.
