It's definitely on the school for signing that contract. If they want to protect themselves they'd either hire a cheaper option or get Bielema and his agent to agree to certain language that minimizes their buyout/guaranteed money. I don't feel sorry for Arkansas or any school one bit haha. I just think that would be awesome to get paid that amount to not work.

 

I think it would be awesome but at the same time I have to realize that the majority of the people responsible for those deals are supporting massively unfair economic ideas at the same time. Like, $12 is too much for minimum wage but paying someone who is so shitty at their job to leave is fine haha.

 

this Memphis UCF game is so goddamn fun. amazing job by Memphis sticking with it after that turnover / first UCF drive. crowd was nuts. game is nuts.

 

Well, yes I agree haha. I realize a lot of people don't use their money for good, but you could do a lot of cool things with consistent payments that large, along with taking care of your family. You could really do some cool stuff until some some school hires you. I realize a lot of people don't do that because the money changes them, but I'm mostly living in pretend land these days because the real world is in the shitter. Not trying to hijack this thread so back to football haha.

Wonder why Wisconsin can lead the FBS in yards per game and still not be respected?

 

Heard a stat on gameday that Wisconsin has only faced one team that’s ranked top 50 in offense. They’re ranked 4th. UCF isn’t even top ten.

 

Wisconsin played Nebraska so I doubt that this is correct.

Bad argument to use though. UCF gets no respect because of one of two reasons you don't. Bad conference, no money. You guys just have the money problem.

Is UCF one of the best teams out there? Of course not. Is a large amount of yards allowed indicative of that? Ask Oklahoma.

 

UCF not getting respect is due to their schedule. Their statistical ranks are fine.

I’m just saying they can’t really expect to be considered a playoff-worthy team when they’re getting 48+ points dropped on them by AAC teams. and yes, I know this is the first time they’ve given up 48+, but they also gave up 42 to USF and 33 to Austin Peay. Just not a good look when you’re already playing a weak schedule
