At this point, I expect a Lane Kiffin tweet tomorrow morning saying he has accepted the UT position. Only to find out a few hours later his account was hacked and there was zero talk between the two sides.

Doeren is the prototypical "took over a powerhouse mid major program and rode it to a payday" coach.

why in the world would Steele leave to be DC at Tennessee? Alma Mater, whatever, he's in an awesome situation where people love him at Auburn.

 

Because Donte Stallworth has no clue what's going on and wants to add to the false rumors

 

There was a report they were interviewing Steele but it was in the same breathe as chad Morris and I'm still not sure if that happened

 

Please don't take Steele. I want him to retire as Auburn's DC. Pay him as much as he needs.

 

Steele is a very good fit at Auburn. He was not at LSU.

 

He's come in and basically run the same base defense Will Muschamp established before. He's letting those players play loose and have fun, and it's incredible to watch. If we can keep Malzahn and Steele together for a couple more years, I doubt this is the last time they'll be coaching together for the SEC Championship.

 

Willie Taggart and Justin Fuente are apparently the top choices to replace Jimbo Fisher.

 

Fuente is awesome. I was surprised Tennessee didn't at least throw money at him to see if he'd bite.
