Kirk Herbstreit is really defending Schiano and the idea that we don’t know for sure he knew on Twitter... it’s gonna be interesting to see if he walks any of it back and if anyone else comes out to defend Schiano.

 

Defend Schiano? I wouldn't go that far. I don't have enough information to make any claim honestly. It seems that a lot of people on the internet think they do so there's that I guess.

 

I do agree, we don't know for sure so we shouldn't make any rash judgments until we do.
Which means we probably shouldn't assume someone singled out under oath in regards to a child sex abuse case is fucking innocent.

But thats not what i said. I'm saying that based on the information i have, I can't make a declarative statement of either or. You're saying "we shouldn't assume he's innocent". I'm saying we shouldnt assume anything.

I'm not saying Greg Schiano is innocent or guilty. I'm saying he COULD be guilty and asking how that isn't enough in this situation?

 

The thing, we'll never know right? They decided not to press charges against him in that case? I hate that. I don't think he's innocent but now we'll never find out and possibly get away with it. The AG decided there was not enough evidence to involve him in a case, I think that matters but it's hard to say he's totally absolved because that's just total BS. Also some of the harassment Currie got was just plain ridiculous and disgusting, he made a bad mistake but that's now how you handle it.

I really don’t give a shit what anyone in politics has to say about it. Especially this White House.

The craziest part is literally nobody was talking about his Sandusky link before yesterday, and now his career is possibly over.

 

At some point in the future the Vols will play a Schiano coached team. It’s guaranteed to happen at this point now.

 

Call me heartless, but I’d rather one man’s career be ruined than potentially have something that sinister come into a program. Especially when mentioned by name in sworn under oath testimony.

There are literally thousands of coaches in America not linked to child molestation even by hearsay. Still a pretty big pot to choose from.

 

Well of course. I wasn’t defending him by any means, just saying. He wakes up and he’s about to be HC of a P5 program, and goes to bed with his career possibly over. That’s how crazy yesterday was.

 

Can we mention that Butch Jones (while at Cincinnati) beat Schiano at Rutgers 69-38. That should tell you everything you need to know about his actual ability to coach ha.
