Well he's on a winning team that came off a great season with staff who are good at that. It definitely helps compared to where he was lol I also don't blame him for dumping both those jobs. The life of a coach is certainly eventful.

 

I know this thread is largely anti-Clemson but I still enjoyed it in here last year and hoping for another exciting year! Definitely looking forward to the FSU Bama opener

3 Top 10 talents on the DL

 

The Edmunds brothers at Virginia Tech are two of the best defensive prospects in college football.

Tremaine is an absolute physical freak at LB.

 

Yeah, I have my concerns about this year's roster, but that's certainly not one of them lol

 

Tremaine is legit. I don't know much about his brother though. Speaking of Virginian defenders - Blanding and Kiser.

 

Speaking of front sevens, I'm beyond excited to see what UW brings this year. They're all being highly touted and they have a lot of depth. I think Vita Vea could be a Top 5 draft pick by the time the year is done.

 

Top five talent, maybe, even then I don't know. He's not going top five though. If Patrick Mahomes and Mitch Trubisky go top ten, no way Vea goes top five.

 

It's way too early to talk about who is what draft pick, don't wanna jinx them and get them injured

 

I don't know, the entire Alabama squad could go first overall.

I thought I made a post about how it sucks the Pats injured Hurns instead of Westbrook. I've definitely complained about Westbrook haha.

I'm just not sure many who don't watch/cover the Pac-12 even know the guy is...this was a similar effect with Danny Shelton until about December when draft season started to slowly ramp up and he had his meteoric rise...also in part because the two prospects guys were all over from UW that year were Shaq Thompson and Marcus Peters.

Top 5 in the draft might be overstating a bit because teams are ridiculously stupid and take 2nd round QBs in the Top 5 but yeah....I'll walk that back a bit and just say that he could be one of the first d-lineman taken and be happy with that.

I know Tony Pauline (paging @Night Channels) had said earlier this year that if he had came out, he was going top half of round one.

edit: he said Top 5 lmao. oops. and in 2018.....so disregard my idiocy.

I'm not sure what his perception is, though he's very good. Nothing drastic happening, he'll probably be in the teens. Though it's obviously impossible to project any of that at this time. Sure is fun though haha.

 

I am fully prepared to get really excited after 2-3 games of seeing Jarrett Stidham play only to ultimately be let done once the season really gets going. At least we have Sean White as a backup if Stidham gets hurt/doesn't work out.

 

21 days until Florida State beats Alabama.
