Lane Kiffin back to Vols

 

Gruden isn’t leaving his gig as a broadcaster. To be honest, he could’ve had a job better than Tennessee numerous times since he last was a coach.

 

There's already rumors he takes an NFL job too, it happens every year. He's one lucky mofo.

 

Yeah but he has ties to the Universiry of Tennessee. It’s not just some pipe dream for a super bowl winning coach. It is that some, but there is a reason his name keeps being brought up. @bigmike

I’m actually really curious to see how Hoke does as the interim HC. Doesn’t he have a better HC record at Michigan than Harbaugh does now?

You don’t want Brady hoke as your coach. Gruden was a grad assistant over 30 years ago at Tennessee. That’s barely a connection. If he graduated from there 30 years ago, sure, I’d buy it. But you know how many places coaches have ties to with no interest in going back? If he wanted to go back he would’ve gone years ago. He’s an NFL guy first, but I’d be shocked if he did that even. He makes millions now just talking and has never had more time off in his life.

Brady Hoke is the interim head coach right now.

 

I think his wife was also a cheerleader at UT. I think he even owns a house in Knoxville.

Can’t fathom why anyone would want Kiffin back.

 

Kiffin has done a good job with Alabama and FAU. I would take Kiffin over Brady Hoke.

 

I would take "fuck it, let's just see if they can figure it out on their own" over Brady Hoke.

 

I would take Kiffin over Butch Jones.

Gruden’s son goes to UT. That’s a pretty big connection y’all didn’t mention.

 

A local jokingly tweeted that Gruden with Rex Ryan as DC and Peyton as OC was happening and people lost their minds before they realized it was a joke.

 

I actually wouldn't do that. Him being at Tennessee means he isn't at Florida. Anything to keep him away from Florida.

 

My uncle really wants him here.

Frost and Mullen are the two I’ve seen linked with Florida.

 

I would be immensely bummed.
